Driven by input from two-time Ironman World Champion Tim DeBoom, Pearl Izumi created the Men's EM Tri N 2 Running Shoe. Ideal for triathlon training and racing, this long-distance shoe strikes a careful balance of efficient foot positioning, explosive energy return, and comfort. The breezy Transfer Dry mesh upper feels smooth against your bare feet thanks to seamless construction, and the supple midsole features a low 4mm drop for easy heel-to-toe foot roll. Seconds matter when you're racing and training, so Pearl Izumi's designers added a quick-lacing system at the forefoot and a pull tab at the heel so you can get this shoe on and off fast, and it built the whole package on a E:Motion midsole, designed for moderate supinators to neutral runners. There's also 1:1 Energy foam in the heel and forefoot to cushion repeated impact. Suddenly, long courses melt away underneath your toes and stage transitions simply fly by on your way to the podium.
