Looks awesome, feels terrific, perfect -

I saw another review of these and felt that I should offer my opinion of these amazing shoes. I'm a mid/front foot strike runner and these are the best shoes I've ever run in. I usually run between 30-35 miles a week anywhere from 6-15 miles when I go out. I ran in Brooks pure connect 1 until I couldn't find new ones when the second and third generations of those came out, so I picked up the saucony kinvara 5. The connect 1 was my favorite shoe, the Kinvara I liked but I felt wore too thin too quickly and the upper was quite fragile and my big toe poked through before I would have expected.

I saw a review of these on ginger runner and a buddy also recommended them to me, so I grabbed a pair and I am glad I tried them out. The best way that I can explain what makes these shoes great is that they have a great ride, if you strike on your font/mid foot these shoes actually feel like they glide down the road. The other thing that is great about them is that they have a perfect sized toe box for me at least. I have room to splay my toes but not so much room that my foot feels like it is sliding around in the front of the shoe - which at times I felt with the sauconys. I also find that the strip of rubber that goes the length of the shoe provides enough support while not being too stiff. Honestly, the product description from Pearl Izumi I have found to be extremely accurate, it sounds too go to be true, but they really made a spectacular shoe. My idea of a perfect shoe is one that you don't think about or really notice while you are running and this one is it.

Looks nice, feels ok, then I ran in them

I've been a fan of nike frees for years but I read some reviews and decided to buy these without trying them on anywhere as they had good reviews and the deal was great here.
I unpacked and they looked sweet. I started playing around with them and was a little disappointed with the flexibility. The description says highly flexible, and they are not. There is some flex bending the toe back but not "highly flexible." There is no flexibility elsewhere unless you're comparing it to a brick. I walked around and didn't feel confident in them as I felt the base was a bit narrow.
I decided to run around the block and felt like I was stomping my feet. I adjusted my gait like I did when I first started with nike frees and it started feeling better, but then started hurting. I started running more on my heels which was cushioned and it felt better on my legs but I felt awkward as I prefer running more on the mid to forefront. I thought about giving them a second try tomorrow, but once I sat down my shins started throbbing.
