Articulated cool-weather coverage.
The Pearl Izumi Men's Elite Thermal Cycling Bib Tight blends cool-weather warmth with full mobility for fast-paced training rides and daily rides alike. Ideal for cool, transitional months in spring and fall, this full-length bib tight uses Pearl's Elite Thermal Fleece to keep your legs pleasantly warm, even when you're riding on crisp mornings and breezy afternoons. Its mesh bib upper provides a secure, stay-put fit without overheating your upper body. Additionally, you'll find its leg articulation promotes full range of motion on your bike.
Integrated with Pearl's Elite 3D chamois, the tights' high-density padding is appreciated on longer hauls and high-intensity rides. This breathable four-way stretch chamois provides a truly custom fit with its pre-shaped, high-density foam. It actively pulls moisture off your body to prevent chafing, while its Pressure Relief Technology enhances comfort by improving bloodflow. Plus, this chamois uses active carbon yarns for improved temperature regulation and reduced static fatigue.
Other key features include 360-degree reflectivity for extra visibility at night, as well as reflective ankle zippers for even more visibility. Moreover, its 8-inch lower leg zip features an internal draft flap to seal out cool air from rushing in.

- Q & A
Fits right and keeps me warm in 45 - 60F
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Great product from Pearl Izumi that hits price-to-value. There are no seams that you can feel so it's ultra comfy and the light fleece layer underneath keeps me warm in 45-60F in California winter as a standalone lower-body piece. The Chamois is lighter than in Pearl's regular elite cycling shorts, but still adequate for me (40+ mile regular workout rides). I think this is just highly personal. Speaking of personal, this bib is way easier to use at a restroom stop than the Santini bibs due to a nice deep v-cut and flexible fabric in the right area.
Like with any sensitive kit, be careful with the velcro around your gloves on this piece and always wash in a delicates bag. That's how you keep the knicks to a minimal on the smooth poly finish.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
I hate tights that fight you when you pedal. On every upstroke you fight the stretch in the tights. These, however, are not that way. More than any other tight I've tried, they don't suffer from that problem. They have an easy flexibility of motion and fit really well. The fit and finish on these is excellent. My only complaint is that the pad is good but not great. I can ride an hour or 90 min before I start to get a little sore. As the PI web site says, these are good for temperatures from 45-60 F.
