Description

Naturally occurring, naturally comfortable.

In an industry packed with synthetic miracle materials that do everything short of actually pedaling for you, the naturally wicking, super-soft Pearl Izumi Elite Tall Wool Sock is a breath of fresh air. And, with left-foot- and right-foot-specific ventilation channels, you can be sure your feet will enjoy excellent cooling.

Merino wool is renowned for its inherent itch-free softness and ability to wick perspiration while retaining heat when wet. That's why it was an easy choice for Pearl to use this natural material on its mid-weight, long-cuff cycling sock … but, merino on its own does have a few drawbacks. To counter those, Pearls designers blend it with nylon and spandex.

This gives the Elite Wool Sock more give and stretch than full wool socks, and allows them to engineer compression where it benefits the foot most. This is most apparent at the arch, and the rest of the Elite panels are positioned to avoid hotspots, including the asymmetrical, left and right mesh vents.

The Pearl Izumi Elite Socks are available in Black and White. They come in sizes Medium through X-Large.

This is the part of the wardrobe that is easy to take for granted. However, on long rides (or runs), socks can play an important role in overall comfort and performance. Some people prefer synthetic fibers, which have some excellent benefits, but for my money it has to be wool.

There are few things on this earth more rewarding than a good wool sock. Do yourself a favor, get a few pairs. You will not be disappointed.

Sizing is accurate, fit is nice and snug, durability is juggernaut status.

I bought these for cold weather riding (40 give or take), I also use Pearl Izumi neoprene covers and my foot were still cold with these socks. Recommend use 50 plus!

Try the PI Thermal wool socks, they are a little thicker and significantly warmer! This pair is designed to keep you cool.
