Description

Sing it, baby.

If you are examining the line of Pearl Izumi women's shorts and trying to figure out the difference between the Elite Shorts and Symphony Shorts, take a look at the cut. Both shorts employ the same Elite transfer materials and Elite 3D chamois, but the Pearl Izumi Symphony Women's Shorts have their own multi-panel design that walks that line between form-fitting performance and all-out comfort.

As with the Women's Elite In-R-Cool, the Women's Symphony Shorts includes the Women's Elite 3D Chamois. This comfort-oriented pad is designed for riders who get out anywhere from three to seven days in a week. It is pre-shaped to fit the contours of a woman's body and even has slightly thicker (13mm) padding than the P.R.O. Seamless Chamois for a touch more protection. The Pearl Izumi Pressure Relief Technology ensures that the pad won't cut off your circulation. The pad's four-way stretch will keep it moving with you and wicking sweat so that you won't have to worry about irritating, saddle-sore-causing friction, while the active carbon yarns improve thermoregulation and keep static-induced fatigue to a minimum.

The stretchy Elite Transfer fabric in the Symphony Women's Shorts offers a great combination of moisture management capabilities with the special In-R-Cool technology that reflects direct sunlight to lower the fabric's temperature to reduce body surface temperature by up to 5%. All of this you'll find also with the Women's Elite In-R-Cool shorts; where you'll start noticing the differences is when you take a look at the cut and paneling. The waistband has contoured give you a flattering yet comfortable shape, and widened so you won't feel any undue pressure on your tummy. A side pocket has been included so that you can keep super-important things like your keys right with you. The inseam has been shortened to eight inches from the nearly nine inch inseam you'll find on the Elite In-R-Cool shorts.

Silicone leg grippers hold the leg hems in place without pulling or pinching your skin. Reflective elements are included to keep you visible in low light. The Pearl Izumi Symphony Women's Shorts are available in Black. They come in sizes X-Small through XX-Large.

The biggest deal about this Short doesn't even get touched on by the description. COLDBLACK! Coldblack is the process of making black materials reflective of the suns rays keeping the rider considerably cooler in warmer temps. Cooler than if you would have white on. That coupled with our Elite Transfer fabric and Elite 3D chamois make this a go-to piece, for sure!
Reports tell me that this is the second most popular piece in the entire cycling industry; 2nd only to the Pearl iZUMi Women's Attack Short which retails for slightly less, but lack the Elite Transfer fabric, Elite 3D Chamois, and Coldblack technology.

these are by far my favorite bike shorts! the pad is dense for long rides, and doesnt cause chaffing. the fabric stays in place, the length is perfect and i particularly like the wide wasteband and the little pocket for small snacks
