Good product, good price...
After reading the description and seeing that it said, "for true three-season cycling versatility", I was immediately hooked. I have been using my Pearl Izumi shorts, but wanted a little more coverage from the sun (damn farmer tan). I am someone who doesn't mind being hot and sweaty during my ride/workouts, but at the same time, I wasn't going to buy tights with a "thermal" lining with summer coming up.
I definitely took a gamble on the sizing as I am 6'1" 195lbs and have a 32-33 waist with a chest size of about 42-44". I carry most of my weight in my legs and butt, so I chose a Large, and it fit perfectly. If you are like me and have a tall, slender yet muscular build, I would suggest the Large.
Does the black/black color option include...
Does the black/black color option include the white stripe in the product photo?
Late response, but the black/black color option does include the white stripe, and I must say, it actually looks really good. It goes perfectly with a Pearl Izumi, Elite, sleeveless jersey (white/black) that I had purchased as well.
A good cool-weather choice
This is an excellent cool-weather knicker. The fabric is relatively lightweight with no "loft." Hence, it will be good for 45-65 degree temps. Any cooler and you will want something a little heavier.
The fit is excellent. I am 6'1", 185lbs, but with bigger than average glutes/hams.
Thus, i am always in-between a L/XL, depending on brand. These XLs fit me well, relative to LGs, which ran a little large. The leg grippers worked well too.
On sale, these are a good value.
