    Don't stop riding in winter.

When winter's at its peak, it's time to pull out all the stops. Layer the Pearl Izumi Barrier Cycling Cap under your helmet for protection from off-season chill. Constructed with a mix of fabrics to optimize performance and comfort, the Barrier Cycling Cap lets you pedal through bitter-cold conditions.

At the front of the Barrier Cycling Cap, Pearl Izumi uses its windproof Barrier fabric and brings it around to the sides to cover the ears as well, blocking cold air to keep you warm. Along the top and back of the cap, Pearl uses its P.R.O. Series Transfer fabric with Ultra Sensor, a heat-retaining technical fabric that pulls perspiration from your head and quickly evaporates it. This combination of moisture management, warmth retention, and wind proofing will keep you comfortable during those winter slogs.

The Pearl Izumi Barrier Cycling Cap is ponytail compatible, has reflective elements, and is available in Red or Black.

    Does the job.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

Pros: Been great on the cold mornings we've had this fall. Thin enough to fit comfortably under my helmet while keeping out the wind and cold. No more headaches from cold ear canals. Just what I expected.

Cons: While the head portion fits well, the ear flaps are too short to cover the bottom portion of my earlobes. Fortunately there aren't many nerve endings there. :-)
