Two-position, low-profile buckles on the Pearl Izumi Women's Attack MTB Mountain Bike Shoes hold your feet securely, so power from your engines transfers directly from leg to pedal. Synthetic heel linings in the Attack MTB Shoes prevent heel-lift, while the minimal top overlays cut down on weight. High-traction lugs on the nylon soles grip rocky terrain when you're off the bike.

Bottom Line: Don't attack with a wobbly offense—strap on Pearl Izumi's Attack MTB Mountain Bike Shoes.

These have pretty agressive lugs for the gym in my opinion. You may want to try the Sidi Vigo because it has plenty of grip with a non-marking outsole.http://www.backcountry.com/store/SID0031/Sidi-Vigo-Bike-Spin-Shoe-Womens.htmlA huge hit at my gym is the Bontrager Street WSD. Not available on backcountry though.
