You could probably pedal across Alaska in the Pearl Izumi Women's AmFIB Tight. Not that you'd want to, but Pearl Izumi's waterproof, windproof AmFIB face fabric would come in handy if it were ever necessary. Unlike most wet-weather cycling gear, the stretchy AmFIB Tight fits close to your body and vents like a champ, thanks to the Thermafleece material on the back of the legs. Flatlock seam stitching smoothes out chafe, and locking 8-inch ankle zips allow easy donning over shoes.
Bottom Line: Staying inside is warm, too…but it sure sucks.
