I bought this not so much for its technical aspects, but because I wanted a light jacket I could use to go from after doing a sport to dinner, without looking sloppy in the summer. I wanted something not fleece
but not a sweatshirt either. This fit the bill. The styling is great, the fabric just the right weight, and having two zip pockets is handy. I liked it so much I purchased it in two colors. I would say it runs small because I am 5' and weigh 100lbs, and I needed the small as opposed to the extra small. Usually I wear an extra small. I would also think this jacket is good on hikes.
