try to get these as a gift :)

  • Gender: Male

as they are a little on the pricy side, try to have somebody else buy them for you!! that being said these are a wonderful pant!! super warm and very wind resistant. bib portion detaches which is great for warmer days. was nervous going with a brand i was not too familiar with but they have been awesome!! solid buy!!

Will you get these pants in Mango colour...

Will you get these pants in Mango colour size XL?

Hey Razvan, your best bet for a quick answer to inventory questions will be to initiate a chat with a BC rep using the link at the top of the page. Best of luck!

holy schnikes....gore-tex 3 layer softshell

Pricey? Absolutely. Unmatched quality and comfort? Absolutely. These bibs are so incredibly dope. I love that you can remove the upper part and convert them to just pants (even though I rarely did so). The quality and attention to details in the construction is second to none. Obviously they are very expensive so you would expect this, but with prices skyrocketing for a lot of other high end jackets and pants, these are actually well worth the price in my opinion. The outer shell material is obviously top of the line but anyone who's experienced 3 layer goretex softshell knows this. The gaiters are also very high end materials which is crucial for me because that's always the first place my ski pants start falling apart. I usually wear medium but i like my pants a little baggy so I got the large. I'm 5'10 160 and the fit is pretty baggy but super comfortable. The only thing is the waist is too big for me so without a belt I need to keep the bibs zipped on for them to stay up. I could've gone with a medium but am happy with the large. Bottom line.... it doesn't get any better than this.

Nice

Just got the black in. One thing to mention is the leg zipper isn't orange it's black. Did anybody else come across this? Minus that these things are pretty sick.

Sizing feedback

I haven't worn these skiing yet but they look like they'll be great. Just some feedback on the sizing - I'm 6'3" tall, 33" waist, and 90kg. I originally bought these in an XL because I have a Peak Performance running top in a Large and it's a bit small so I figured they ran a bit smaller on the sizings. The XL in these pants was far too big so I sent them back for size L and they are perfect.

Why is Backcountry not selling the Heli...

Why is Backcountry not selling the Heli Alpine Pants from Peak Performance? I will like to purchase them better than the Heli Softshell offered here because the Heli Alpine pants have side leg zippers and snow gaiters. Could anyone tell me where can I purchase them if Backcountry doesn't sell them.

Responded on

You would most likely have to order a pair from Europe as the description states that Backcountry.com is the exclusive US retailer for Peak Performance Products.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Ian...I came to the same conclusion since all the sites that sell them are based in Europe...
I am not too confident purchasing from an overseas company, I bet they don't have the same returning policy as Backcountry plus shiping cost should cost a good penny not to mention the exchange rate...

I also whish they would sell the Heli Alpine Pants. Maybe you can find a local shop that would order them for you. I know such a shop in Montreal, Canada, but if I order it, I have to buy it without being able to see if it actually fits.

Hope this helps.

Hey Olivier, do you know if I can order online from that shop in Montreal?
BTW, Aylmer ring a bell?

Responded on

Unfortunately, they don't sell them online. I don't know if they would ship if you call them. It's called Oberson.

this Heli Softshell Pant also has side leg zippers almost all the way down both legs, and also snow gaiters. It's not just the heli alpine that have those features. And to be honest, the 3 layer softshell in my opinion is better.
