Peak Performance Blackburn Down Jacket - Women's - 2010 BCS

I have this jacket in two colors and have yet to put it on- even just to run to the grocery store- without receiving a compliment on it. This is a gorgeous gorgeous jacket and I wear it all the time. It's great for skiing on cold-ass days and great for throwing on on your way out. The feminine cut is stunning and unparalleled - honest. It's a little longer in the torso so that it doesn't hike up if you have to lift your arms above your head for something. It has great movement. I have a few other puffy coats and while I love the warmth they provide- sometimes when shredding they can be a little limiting in terms of movement... This jacket is 'premo' for warmth, movement, and fashion. It's a must- I promise you'll be stoked on the jacket. I love BOTH of mine. (It's not as warm as the Peak Performance Women's Denali Jacket- that one is your ultra warm puffy that's a more "sealed" warmth- this jacket is more versatile and feels a little lighter...but still SUPER warm)

I'm 5'9" 140 lbs and bought the jacket in a black size M. I chose this over the Norrona jacket which was much too tight under the arms. This is a slim fit, nice and long, covers my hips and the sleeves are a good length as well. It isn't a fluffy down jacket but it sure kept me warm skiing, and I was able to have 2 thin layers underneath. Having a helmet compatible hood was amazing when it was windy and snowing. It's not water proof but good against light to medium snowfall. It is not a true black, looks more like a heather charcoal grey which I love. A versatile jacket to wear on or off the slopes!
