The ‘problem’ with big snow dumps is that they’re often followed by arctic temperatures; gear up for those epic but cold days with the Peak Performance BL 3L Pant. The pant’s slightly stretchy outer layer and additional lighter, low-bulk layer are backed up by a waterproof breathable Gore-Tex membrane for the ultimate protection from wind and snow.

  • Light stretch in the outer layer, articulated knees, and crotch gusset maximize your mobility
  • Extra-long side zips help you dump heat you work up chopping through the deep snow
  • Superfabric-reinforced hems protect your pants from boot buckles and ski edges
  • High back in the waist keeps out snow and drafts
  • Adjustable tabs at the waist and detachable suspenders allow you get the fit just the way you like it
  • Backcountry.com is the exclusive US retailer for Peak Performance products

Bottom Line: Ride this workhorse pant to powder heaven.

Nice Pants

I was very hesitant to buy these due to the price tag but I bit the bullet and grabbed them to replace my TNF FreeThinkers...
They fit nice and baggy so my big thighs wernt and issue. I got the gooseberry color so they ummm STAND OUT!! to say the least. Had some issues that the top buttons kept popping open but with the suspenders its not much of an issue. Overall well built and worth the price but not 100% necessary...if you are on a budget you will get just as much out of a cheaper TNF or similar pant.

I'll try to keep this short...1st: lets dispel the Euro cut that the picture may display. While not super baggy like new school Armada or Oakley etc, these are more of a loose fitting cut. I sized up from mediums in Norrona pants to Large in this model from Peak. The size chart here that BC provides is worth noting. 2ND: features.. like rubberized backing on the suspenders that help em grip and stay put on your shoulders, a boot gaitor with super grippy backing and is adjustable too if you are the touring type are a couple. The wrap around edge guards on the cuff are similar to the Norrona Lofoten pant. A high enough very comfortable back. 3Rd: the two types of gore-tex materials, these babies are light! Supple but tough. the material feels like none other. Quality is off the charts along with the price, so a guy better be stoked...that said, I am glad I ventured back to the Peak brand. If you have the means or can get a hookup...buy em! My dimensions...5'11" 162-165 (pre xmas). waist 33-34, hips 39-42. Both waist and hip measurements taken with street pants/shirt on.

Hi skidawg ... It sounds like you own both the Norrona Lofoten Pant and the Peak Performance BL 3L Pant ... Can you share which one you prefer and why? Thanks!

yep...neither is a total freeride baggy cut however, we both sized up. Similar dimensions or cut. The boot gaitor on this pant is very secure and takes an extra step putting it on the right way around your ski boot. The throat of the this pant is wide enough to easily so over youboot but I'm not sure if the Heli soft shell put flares out at the bottom a bit more. I would call and talk to Peak's Whistler General Store and ask em to lay out both pants. Good folks, very helpful. I ordered the matching Black Light jacket to this Pant from them. Its the Shiz... their number is:
604-905-1183 or email peak.whistler@peakperformance.com
I spoke to a guy named Watson. Cheerio!
