Paxton's Sandal and Shoe Saver - 2006 BCS

This stuff is great. Just a couple of spritz's and stinky sandals have a fresh almost lemony smell. Worked on my leather Clark sandals as well as my Keen's.

So I've had my Chacos for almost three years and never cleaned them except the occasional dip in the lake.
Paxton's Sandal and Shoe Saver is probably a fantastic product for upkeep but when your sandals are a smelly as mine I don't think there is anything out there strong enough!
I would recommend this product if you want to avoid smelly sandal syndrome.

Like some of the other reviews said, this stuff has a pretty powerful smell that might be masking the foot funk. That said, the foot funk is no longer there. If you're like me and had some grime built up on the sandals, you should probably scrub them with some soap and a stiff bristle brush first.
I would have given 5 stars but the spray pump on my bottle really sucks. Spray only comes out on about 50% of my pumps.

I must admit that I was a little skeptical before using the product. I've tried several products in the past with little or no success. I decided to give Paxton's Sandal Saver a try on my biggest challenge - a pair of nasty, old Reefs. After a few sprays, I wiped off the residue and the results were great. Even more amazing, I placed these sandals in a backpack for a weekend trip and they still smelled great three days later. What a deal for eight bucks!

Finally, something that eliminates sandal funk when I use it every 1-2 weeks. My feet smell less from it, too.

I work in a casual software development shop where I come to work most of the time in leather sandals of some variety. A couple of pairs had gotten to the point that I could notice the odor while simply sitting at my desk. Not good for an office environment.

The prescribed dose of Sandal Saver made them wearable again, and as of 3-4 wearings since, the odor has not returned. There is definitely some masking going on, but the lack of any odor at my desk is indication that the bacteria causing the funk has at least partially been eliminated.

Got this shirt before going to Greece. The shirt was a great cover up for hot windy days. The breathability of this shirt isn't great - so if it's humid - it will amplify that feeling. I think that it would probably be good for desert camping and hiking if you don't like being exposed to a lot of wind. Superlight and easy to pack. The blue color is bright and cheerful.

I bought this stuff because I was desperate to save my Chaco's from being chucked based on how badly they smelled. I wasn't looking forward to buying a new pair of sandals. I used it and they kept my sandals stink free for my entire 2 week vacation only after 2 uses!!! Awesome stuff. Would recommend it to anyone with sport sandals or flip flops to extend the life of your favorite pair.

Maybe the stink is just too strong, or the product is just a cover up. I was hoping for better results.

I can't believe this stuff works. It's not just for sandals it works on all footwear. I had a stinky pair of Salomon Snowclogs and I sprayed this stuff in it and let it dry. It got rid of the musty smell and now I can wear them again. Great stuff well worth the 8 bucks.

All I can say is where has this been all my life? I love my chaco's but boy did they smell especially after a long hike! I had tried "washing" them but it just didn't work. And being that I wear these sandals on a regular basis it was becoming apparant that they needed some drastic help! After just one use of the Sandal saver, WOW everything is right in the world again. I use it in all my shoes now and will always have it around. Like I said in the beginning of this review, where has this been all my life?
