Fishing a new river requires covering a lot of water before finding the action, which is why Patagonia designed the Men's Ultralight Wading Boot. The synthetic leather and Venergy mesh uppers are lightweight and fast draining, which allows your feet to feel light and nimble when you move upstream or head up stream in search of your new honey hole. Plus, the Rock Grip soles are made from a special sticky rubber compound for stable and secure traction on slick river bottoms, and they are designed to accept studs when you need an extra bit of bite, or fin straps when you're taking the float tube out on the lake. The boots can also be resoled for season after season of riparian adventures.

Started wearing these last fall for winter steelhead fishing. They have NO DRAIN HOLES! This means, once you get in the water you will be walking with heavy filled up with water boots. I do not walk in my wading boots in the winter, but rather take them off and put them back on at the next fishing spot. This helps somewhat with the problem, but additionally, those boots cannot be squeezed from the water in them! You squeeze and squeeze, and after a while when you turn them upside down, there will be more water pouring out of them. Incredible! The fit is also somewhat awkward compared to my Simms Freestones - seem wide but short boots. Cannot comment on durability after only 20 or so times out with them. The only time the boots are light is when they are dry!
