Nice jacket, but not what advertised...

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size

First of all, the color of this jacket was beautiful, and it seemed to be a good quality garment. However, I'm very disappointed in Backcountry.com. I did purchase the jacket from the Outlet store, but did not realize I would receive a used product that was damaged to boot. The product page in the Outlet store marketed this product as new, just a discontinued color (there was no mention it was a return and had damage). The wrist cuffs were very obviously worn and dirty, and the most noticeable defect as soon as the package was opened? A tear in the fabric on the front right breast of the jacket, with feathers already leaking out! I am returning this product and will likely never purchase an Outlet item again. I do not usually mind purchasing a damaged or used product at steeply discounted prices, as long as I know exactly what I'm getting!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

This jacket is amazing. It is thin and light weight but VERY warm. It packs up small into it's own pocket. It is very breathable so I would use it while winter hiking and also great for casual use. It fits true to size, but if you plan on layering I would size up.

Nice for California weather

  • Gender: Female

I also liked down sweater, which is good for california winter.
This ultralight jacket is perfect for year round, comortable, nicer fit than down sweater with narrower shoulder.
Perfect for travel!
I am happy with this buy.

Runs big

LOVED this jacket, only issue is that it runs big. I would recommend sizing down

Awesome gift!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share

I bought this as a gift for my mom and she loves it! It's incredibly light and versatile and will pack down small enough to fit into a purse or even a large pocket. Despite being so light, it doesn't sacrifice warmth or versatility. Great jacket!

Love this!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have a ton of patagonia but was looking for something to throw in my bag for those days when the weather makes a 180. This jacket is great. I have already worn it several times even though it has only been cold a week or so. Highly recommend.

Great buy!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this jacket not knowing how lucky I would be to have it. I wear it when it on cold nights walking the dog and what is best is that I can wear it with another light jacket when it is really really cold and not feel bulked out. Plus I can pack it in the smallest place I have . . . even in a pocket.

Lightweight Jacket

This is a great lightweight jacket that is super versatile and very warm. It can be worn alone thanks to the DWR coating or as a layering piece. It also packs down very small. Wife loves it.

Love it

I have several down sweaters and a few pullover ultra lights but this my first jacket. And I love it. Fits tighter than the pullover. I love the pink. I will most definitely order other colors this fall. Thanks for another great product.

Great, versatile jacket

I love this jacket! It is so lightweight that it takes up no room in your pack but adds a lot of warmth. I have used it over and under a soft-shell depending on the conditions and it works great both ways. I also have slept in it when the night got a little cool in the tent. It appears to be quite durable as I have been beating on it quite a bit. I haven't tried chimneying in it... that probably isn't recommended. However, overall it is stylish and a great weight for many different conditions.

Great, versatile jacket

Could wear it every day of my life. In fact, I might.

Great jacket!

This is a great light jacket to keep in pack when needed. I have the black and it has a low sheen to it, which I think it makes it dressier looking so that it can be worn around town and not just in the backcountry. The fit is great, better than my down sweater, thin (but warm), stylish and comfortable. Mine is slightly longer than the down sweater. I was torn between "with" hood or "without", went without because I usually wear a toque when hiking and don't use the hood when in town ... although withhood looks great too. Highly recommended!
