nice jacket, strange fit
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
really like the feel of this jacket, light warm, stretchy and comfortable. Unfortunately i found the fit to be very strange on my long lanky frame. I usually were a size large in Patagonia(6'4 180 lbs) which has fit perfectly in capliene and fleeces from Patagonia. The arms and cuffs were baggy and flapped around annoyingly but were the right length.the torso fit very well but was way too short, barely reaching my waistband and riding up all the time. all in all an awesome jacket, but for its price i want something that fits me well. would give it a high rating but cannot because of fit
Traverse Jacket video review
Evan from Patagonia shares his thoughts on the Traverse Jacket.
is the traverse jacket lined?
is the traverse jacket lined?
Hi ID--this jacket is unlined. It does have tricot at the collar for comfort, but other than that, it's pretty bare-bones. Patagonia designed this coat intentionally that way, to improve breathability and to cut down on bulk/weight.
Hope this helps!
Great for aerobic activities
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This is my 2nd time purchasing this jacket after I lost the first one. I use it primarily for snowshoeing, for the up when alpine ski touring and for trail running. It's very light and very breathable. I typically only wear this and a base layer for these activities it works great. Also, the material is stretchy and comfortable.
Buying another one.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
Bought this in black and loved it. Left it in Hawaii on recent trip and now buying a new one in blue this time. I'm 6 2 and 180lbs and the large fits perfect.
A good Patagonia softshell.
I purchased this to be a lighter softshell, an alternative to my fleece backed softshell that I have love but is for colder weather. It has worked well in just the several uses it has seen, including casual (temperatures of 50ish) and biking (temperatures from 35-45F). I am 5'10" and about 190 pounds, the large fits nicely, it seems to run a little long (good as I am long in the torso). Looking forward to more use, and I consider it a good value.
