Waterproof shell / rain jacket

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

I've skied in the rain in this jacket without getting even a drop of moisture on my other layers. For that same reason, I would not recommend this jacket if you're looking for something breathable because as soon as you start sweating, the inside will be coated in droplets!

Otherwise, true to fit. Love the zippers. The coral color is truly a bright red. Great jacket!

Order up

  • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
  • Fit:Runs small
  • Size Bought: large

Love the look of the jacket itself but recommend ordering a size up to leave room for layers. I'm a little surprised as Patagonia usually sizes accordingly. I order a medium in everything Patagonia but just called to exchange for a large. Also- stuff sack is a bit hidden! Its the hand pocket- not the usual separate compartment in the inside.

Very light jacket

  • Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit:True to size

The photos make it look like this jacket is a bit bulkier than it really is. It's super lightweight and waterproof. It's just a nice casual rain jacket to wear in the spring/summer time. You can really move in this so it's great for any hiking, fishing, camping, etc. It's so light, it can fold/ball up and get stuffed into any pack. Easy to travel with!

LOVE it!

I really love this jacket. Got caught in a 2 day downpour and it kept me nice and dry and the ventilation pits are a great feature for when you're working up a sweat hiking. But the best part of this jacket is that it's stretchy! Which makes it great for lots of movement like backpacking. Also I think its a nice combination of technical yet everyday wear. I even use it as a shell over layers in the winter when it snows.

Never Take It Off

There aren't many places that I go without this jacket. It's a great windbreaker, rain jacket, shell, etc. It's great for climbing on chilly days, the hood fits over my helmet perfectly. This jacket does everything it claims to do and then some.

Was my jacket supposed to come with a stuff sack? I do not see one with it but there is one in the picture

would you reccomend this jacket for a year round bike commuter in Portland. OR?

Hey Lorraine,

The features that I think would make this an awesome commuter jacket include the helmet compatible hood with laminated visor, pit-zips, ripstop & waterproof material, etc. So, yes I think this jacket is a perfect pick! I think in heavier rain you might want to throw a shell over it that has a higher waterproof rating, but most days this is probably perfect!
