LOVE it!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I really love this jacket. Got caught in a 2 day downpour and it kept me nice and dry and the ventilation pits are a great feature for when you're working up a sweat hiking. But the best part of this jacket is that it's stretchy! Which makes it great for lots of movement like backpacking. Also I think its a nice combination of technical yet everyday wear. I even use it as a shell over layers in the winter when it snows.

would you reccomend this jacket for a year round bike commuter in Portland. OR?

Hey Lorraine,
The features that I think would make this an awesome commuter jacket include the helmet compatible hood with laminated visor, pit-zips, ripstop & waterproof material, etc. So, yes I think this jacket is a perfect pick! I think in heavier rain you might want to throw a shell over it that has a higher waterproof rating, but most days this is probably perfect!

Never Take It Off

There aren't many places that I go without this jacket. It's a great windbreaker, rain jacket, shell, etc. It's great for climbing on chilly days, the hood fits over my helmet perfectly. This jacket does everything it claims to do and then some.
