Here's what others have to say...

Prefer Arc'T though double price

Am cautious about low rating but really don't like the garment: 1. really bad ventilation capability, when taking subway always feel not comfortable, jogged once with this on and it's totally wet inside (air temp. 15C). 2. sizzling sound when moving around. 3. zip not easy to operate, esp. arm pit ones sometimes jams. 4. cap on hoody cover my eye from time to time and need adjustment.

Would return this product if I were not in China. Next time purchase will definitely go to Arc'teryx despite its double or triple prices.

    I guess its ok

    • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit:Runs small
    • Height: 5'10"
      Weight: 195 lbs
      Size Purchased: Large

Since it looks like a rain jacket, smells like a rain jacket, and feels like a rain jacket, it must be a rain jacket. I bought this as a light shell just incase it rained or snowed on my next adventure. The fit is not so pleasing. I put on my Patagonia Hi-Loft jacket underneath to test it out. I looked like I weighed in excess of 250lbs. This jacket fits a bit smaller than what I would call a standard large. I can still layer underneath the jacket but it wont be a down jacket. I am 5'10" 195lbs.

    kept me feeling sweaty

    • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit:True to size

At first glance I really liked the look and received compliments when worn. Advertised as "Stretch" ...I didn't notice any stretch. It makes that crinkle sound- like a heavy trash bag would. The fit was good but when wearing a short sleeve shirt underneath on those not-so-cold days, it gets very sweaty inside even with the pit zips open. I can't imagine how bad it would get while hiking and carrying a load. It just does not breathe. It keeps the rain out but the sweat in.

I had to return it... Sorry. I think I'm going to pay the extra $ and get GoreTex.

What is center back length of an XXL?

    Fights off H2O

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit:True to size

Great rain jacket. I'm 5'8 150lbs and this jacket in Medium fits spot on. Not to long in the torso, not to long in the arms. No complaints so far. Keeps the water out, and my clothes dry. Cant ask for much more.

    Great Rain Jacket

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times
    • Fit:True to size

Have not used in heavy rain yet but have been great in light rain. I always pack these along with me on all my trips.

    Solid Water Jacket

    • Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit:True to size

I got this as a gift for a friend, and it ended up being perfect! He was looking for a light rain jacket with pit zips- and that alone can be difficult. The material is very nice- it's lightweight, stretchy, and does not sound nor feel like a trash bag. The waterproofing has been killer so far, and the zips plus the actual fabric offer great breathability/venting. The color looks great, and the zipper works smooth. He generally wears a size Large, and has longer sleeves- the Large in this model works perfect, by itself or over a slim jacket. Hands down one of the best vented rain jackets on the market!

    Great Jacket

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times
    • Fit:True to size

    + Great waterproofing

    + Light weight

    + Breathable (and Pit Zips)

+ No mesh (not a fan of mesh in any gear that will get wet)

    Great rain jacket

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times
    • Fit:True to size

This is a great, light rain shell.

    Nicely done.

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times
    • Fit:True to size

Had to many jackets, and didn't really like any of them.

This Jacket is genuinely waterproof (important in SE Alaska), fits well AND has some stretch for riding a bike, overhead reach, casting a fly rod, etc. The chest pocket is real (NOT MESH) and so far keeps the electronic leash dry. The side pockets are real (NOT MESH), and works with a hip belt. The color is garish, vibrant, disgusting, and horrendous. Just what I wanted for visibility on a bike.

Durability is adequate so far, as my mad dash through the brush to avoid an angry sow with cubs would indicate. Scratches and contusions on my hands and face, but the jacket is fine. Didn't have time to activate the pit-zips in during that episode, but in normal use the breathability and ventilation seems fine.

Jacket is just enough, nothing extra, and nicely done. And, there's NO MESH in the pockets, or anywhere else.

This is the type of gear review we need: accurate assessment of product quality, with real life OUTDOOR feedback, not what it's like to wear a raincoat in the city. Thanks buddy!!

    Cool Jacket

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Like I do with any of my waterproof gear, I put this jacket on along with my torrentshell pants and hopped in the shower (I figured this simulates about the hardest rain in come across). Bone dry including the pockets and pit zips. I wish the zippers were a little bulkier but they do the job. The stretch is nice, I will report back on how that material holds up over time. Oh yeah and the jacket looks great with the black and yellow, if you are looking for a quality rain jacket for a reasonable price this is it.
