Obsessed.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 6"
    Weight: 125 lbs
    Size Purchased: Small

I love my Synchilla. It's perfect to throw on when you're out camping on a cool Summer night and I cannot wait to wear it this Winter to keep warm. I bought the Wild Desert color and it's adorable - such a fun print. I want every single color but my wallet limits me to one color every season :)

I want one in every color...

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 2"
    Weight: 115 lbs
    Size Purchased: XS

...but I've cut myself off at two colors. The Patagonia Synchilla Lightweight Snap-T Fleece Pullover is addictive comfort (I want to wear it constantly). The construction is fantastic and the material so comfy and the colors so vibrant. This is a perfect go-to fleece and would be a perfect gift.

Pretty cool little number

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 7"
    Weight: 120 lbs
    Size Purchased: Medium

This jacket is pretty great. It's super lightweight and not bulky, but keeps in a ton of heat. The only thing I struggled with when purchasing this is finding one that would not be snug on me. The size chart recommends an xs for me, but I ended up grabbing a medium because I like to have some space. Overall, great purchase from a great size

So warm

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I thought this might be a bit more like the north face 1/4 summit series fleece so was a bit hesitant, but it is much more thicker and definitely worth the dough. I think it's pretty true to size, this is a fleece that is meant to be a bit more roomy, not form fitting

Love the Old School pullovers!!!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large

There are 2 things that I love about these:
1- They are pull overs and not zip ups. I LOVE anoraks!
2- I love the old school Patagonia fleece. I remember when they first came out and am happy to see them again. They are comfortable and not over engineered. Also, you don't have to have the perfect body for them to fit. A little loose and very comfortable. Yes, I'm a woman but I don't want everything to be contoured and fitted.

Second purchase!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Height: 5' 7"
    Weight: 120 lbs
    Size Purchased: XS

I absolutely love this piece! I received one as a gift for Christmas this past year and wore it all the time (living in West Virginia definitely calls for something versitle like this!) My pullover was purchased in an XS which was a great size (I've heard Patagonia runs large and I didn't want to be swimming in it). Great length in the arms, and perfect amount of loose-ness in the body. So I definitely recommend going down a size from your normal. Sometimes I even wear it with a vest over and it doesn't feel too smooshed under it or anything. I've washed my year old pullover multiple times (which is the white/tan colored one - surprisingly only got dingy around the sleeve openings) and it still looks brand new. This time I purchased the Manoa/Dusk Blue print and it's super cute! Definitely love it for its comfort, practicality, quality, and style!

A Closet Staple

A Closet Staple

Patagonia fleece jackets are a true wardrobe "must-have". I've had one in my closet for as long as I can remember. They are cozy, warm & last forever. I love the retro colors so much, I bought the floral and I'm in love!

Meh

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large

I'm a big fan of all things Patagonia because the fit is usually spot on for my body type. However I wasn't crazy about the fit on this. The sleeves are cinched and sort of bunched so that I feel like I am constantly tugging them down. The same goes for the waist. Every time I move the waist band on this tends to ride up a little bit. Ultimately the fit issue wasn't a deal breaker for me though with this fleece because it's still extremely cozy and the material is comfortable. It just wasn't quite what I was hoping for. I'm 5'3 about 135lbs and wear a medium in most jackets/tops, however I did purchase the small in this because the sizing on this runs huge. Definitely size down!

First Patagonia

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 3"
    Weight: 135 lbs
    Size Purchased: Small

This is my first Patagonia purchase and I absolutely love it! I wear it almost every day - it's perfect for the cooler nights on the central coast of California! Mine fit me perfectly - I wasn't sure if I should get a small or extra small since all the reviews say it runs large, but I'm so happy I went with the small. It's perfect for over tshirts and isn't too baggy at all.
Backcountry was also great - when the hem on the sleeve started falling apart after I'd only had it for a month, they sent me a brand new replacement immediately. Couldn't be happier with this fleece or Backcountry!

Another win for Patagonia

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Height: 5' 7"
    Weight: 135 lbs
    Size Purchased: Extra Small

I'm so in love with this fleece, however I did not expect otherwise. This fleece, in true Patagonia fashion, is quality. It's well made, and I can tell it's going to last for years to come. I've already taken it on a 50 mile thru hike, and I used it almost every early morning and on the many cool nights layered with a long-sleeve shirt. I also work outdoors for my summer job, and this is a perfect weight for cool breezy days over a t-shirt. As the other reviews mention, the fleece does run a bit large. I'm normally a size small in almost every other brand (North Face, Nike, etc.), but I went with an extra small for this, and I'm happy I did. I can still layer with it if I need to, but it also doesn't look overly baggy when I'm just pulling it over a t-shirt. Bottom line: You can't go wrong with this fleece.

Love :) but runs large

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Height: 4' 11"
    Weight: 103 lbs
    Size Purchased: Extra small

I just got this and absolutely love it! Very warm and cozy. Plus super cute! Can't go wrong with that ;). It does run a little big. If you want it more fitted I would size down one size. If you want it more roomy then do what you would normally do. I am pretty petite and went with the extra small. It's great and I have plenty of room to layer.

Size down

This is such a great fleece. It fits well once you size it right. I sized down two sizes from my other Patagonia tops (down sweater and r1 fleece). I wanted it to be a slim fit, though. If you don't mind it a little looser then go for one size down. My only complaint is that it seems to ride up in the back easily. I still love it, though. It's the perfect weight to keep me warm on chilly days or as a mid layer for freezing nights.

Adorable! Runs 1 size large

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Height: 5' 2"
    Weight: 130 lbs
    Size Purchased: xs

I have this in the radiant magenta dark currant, and LOVE the colors and pattern. I am 5'-2" 130lb, small frame, curvy with a shorter torso. I was swimming in the Small and it didn't flatter me. The XS is perfectly oversized on me and fits excellent! In my opinion this runs a full size big. The fabric is soft and so lightweight! But warm. Sad for lack of pockets -- but everything else makes up for it. I would size down in this one!!

Warm... Really warm

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Height: 5' 7"
    Weight: 135 lbs
    Size Purchased: large

Love Patagonia. They are such high quality pieces. I got this pullover for something lighter and roomier than my Better Sweater.
It's really cute and comfortable. I sized-up for something bigger and comfy (ordered a large, probably could have got away with a medium and still been roomy). It fits okay. I wouldn't by any means say it's slimming. The bottom elastic makes me look a little bit like a big bubble. But sometimes I want to be in a big bubble, so that's fine. Its VERY warm. Which is maybe good for most people, but I was hoping for something more lightweight for So-Cal. Also, it doesn't have side pockets! It feels like it should, and I catch myself trying to put my hands in the not-there-pockets. I'm actually considering taking it to a tailor and having pockets put in, because it's so annoying....

Back Country did a great job with fast reliable shipping.

Warm... Really warm

No pockets is a deal breaker for me

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size

Loved the purple color and size was right with the help of customer service. When I got the item home realized no pockets and that was deal breaker for so back it went. If that doesn't bother you- it's a wonderful pullover.

I am 5'3, around 125 lbs and usually wear a size small in all of my clothes/jackets. I definitely want a comfortable, over sized fit, would a medium be too over sized though?

Responded on

I would try a small initially since this is a slightly looser fitting piece and you might be swimming in the medium.

Obsessed

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I own two (just ordered my third!) of these fleeces and I have to say that this is one of the best fleeces that I own. I live in the upper peninsula of Michigan, where it's regularly 0 degrees or below. I wear one of these under a shell and am always warm! I also love the loose fit of it. It just adds to the comfort :) definitely worth it!

I'm in love & I don't care who know's it

This is now my favorite piece of clothing I own. Its warm, soft, big and loose. I love the oldies look it has and is cute just to throw on and wear for the day. Also its the durable patagonia fleece, so it will last forever and be great using on your outdoor adventures. You wont regret purchasing this piece!

The gold standard in fleece

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: Runs large

My wife purchased this fleece after returning a Re-Tool Snap-T last year. She much prefers this style than the fuzzy Re-Tool.
Also, the jacket runs pretty large (Patagonia's 'regular fit'). She is 5'4" 120lbs and a small fits comfortably with room, not fitted. She could probably fit in an XS, but this fleece is meant to fit like this.

Don't be fooled by the title saying 'lightweight' fleece. It is a standard weight fleece, blocks wind adequately, and insulates well. It is warmer than the Re-Tool fleece she returned.
Overall she loves the fleece and has worn it every day so far!

great gift!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

From the gift recipient:
Runs slightly large (ordered size small, wear size small in all tops) - but there’s room to wear layers underneath which is what I wanted. The color is great and I love the old school look with the snaps to button up the fleece.
I’ve worn this skiing and it’s a great layer to wear under a shell on bitter cold days. Highly recommend! Love it!
