Hit the trails in comfort and style.
The Patagonia Women's Strider Pro Running Shorts have all the features you need to propel you to success on your next trail adventure. The outer fabric is treated with a DWR finish that allows it to dry quickly and shed moisture as you run. The mesh liner is not only cooling, but also features a Polygiene odor control treatment to keep you fresh. Since nobody wants to bonk out midway through a run, Patagonia added four overlapping envelope pockets to store gels, snacks, and anything else you might need throughout your journey. A high split leg opening allows for great ease of movement, and a reflective logo lets you be seen should your run take you out to a more populated area.

Love them

Run 20 miles a week. Great shorts, my iPhone 6s even fits in the back pocket. Have run a couple half marathons in them. Total comfort. Wear them on the boat, on the bike, and just kickin' around. I have 5 pair.
Best shorts ever

I love these shorts!!! The pocket design is really innovative. It allows me to carry enough gels and chews for a marathon or long run, eliminating the need for one of those annoying pouch belts. The material is super lightweight , moisture-wicking, and comfortable too. The drawstring allows for an adjustable fit. The only downside to these shorts is that there seems to be some variability in sizing. I ordered two pairs in the same size, and one was considerably larger than the other. Maybe it was just a weird pair. Overall, these shorts are my favorite piece of running gear and they are fantastic!
Everything I want in a pair of shorts!

These are very comfy and flattering shorts! I am 5'6" and 145lbs, I got a size medium. They fit perfect. I do not wear them to the gym because I simply don't workout in shorts but they are excellent for wearing around the house and running errands. I love the waist band, not only does it add to the comfort of these shorts but it has little pockets where can store a key, ID, or credit card. I will say, I have VERY long legs and I could see how some may think they are a tad short for them. However, the cut of the short and the slit on the sides is really flattering and comfy.
Perfect distance running shorts!

Needless to say I'm not a huge fan of the hydration belts. I wear a camelback for my long runs. (For a reference, I'm training for a marathon and spend Saturdays running 15 miles+, then other days of week btw 6-10 miles). These shorts are the perfect shorts for storing energy snacks easily accessible without the extra baggage, keys and even my cell phone comfortably fits in waist pocket. More importantly they are super comfortable. I love them so much I bought a second pair. Patagonia has had the best outdoor gear for winter sports but the summer gear has been a work in progress. My early patagonia shorts are nice but don't come close to these! Way to go patagonia.
If you are a distance runner you cannot go wrong with these shorts
STRIDE RITE

YAAAAAS!
Look no further for the perfect short - stride rite in your Patagonia Strider Pro shorts. I'm training for a half marathon and have been on a conquest to find the most perfect short. This is it my friends! If you're looking for a light weight, comfortable, quick drying, wedgie-less short then this is your answer. The pockets that line the waist band are perfect for gels, keys, chapsticks, acorns, whatever you choose to carry in your running shorts! The zip pocket is perfect for things that you want to keep safe while cruising. The pockets lay totally flat when you're not using them and don't stretch out. The waist band is on point: wide and comfortable material.
Moving on to the built in underwear - forget about the days of wedgies. The underwear is light weight, drys fast and covers your full bum! The shorts have a high slit up the side, so don't be afraid to show some leg - but you don't have to worry about your butt hanging out.
Also - they're great for mid-run-swim! It was super humid up here last week and I was in the middle of one of my half marathon long training runs and decided to hop in the river to cool down - I didn't have any problem with chafing or super soggy bottoms post dip!
For size reference - as of last week I'm 5'short" (2 or 3, who knows) and 105 pounds in light of recent training - the XS fits unbelievably comfortable. Maybe even a tiny bit loose in the waist.
Great for everything!

Bought these for rollerblading, yoga, a recent cruise for pool lounge wear and cave tubing in Belize. Quick drying. super comfy. Zip pocket in the back was perfect for storing cruise room key and lip gloss.

Nearly killed a cyclist

The material is light. Like double check that you sill have pants on light. It makes for some really comfortable running, but it also does fly in the wind a bit (especially with the split leg). On my first run, my shorts blew up a bit into short shorts, and a passing cyclist nearly crashed while gawking. I did really like them though. The wait band isn't super stretchy, and I was worries a bit since I have hips, but they fit over my hips albeit barely, and were quite nice once on and didn't bother me. The inner liner felt a little stiff, and I wasn't sure about it at first, but after a couple miles I did't notice it.
Do the main fabric panels in these shorts stretch?
When will you guys have these shorts in XS? Been waiting awhile and wanna buy ASAP:)
Hey Theresa,
