More coverage, same stride.
The Patagonia Men's Strider 7in Shorts bring the same performance that runners admire in Patagonia's Strider collection, but this pair offers more coverage so you don't show the world all of your white thighs. A Deluge DWR treatment on the outer fabric helps repel light drizzles. Air Flow mesh panels offer the breathability you need for a sweat-free run in hotter temperatures. The polyester crepe liner prevents uncomfortable chafing, and Polygiene's permanent odor control makes sure this pair of shorts doesn't end up needing a double-bagging after your run. Stuff your keys or an energy gel in the drop-in pocket and get striding.

- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
These are very comfortable shorts. The materials are very light and well thought out. I purchased them in Feather Grey and they look exactly the same as the picture - no computer screen distortion here. Coming from Marmot's Stride shorts, the brief in these is a little more abrasive, but that disappears once you get the Body Glide applied.
As for sizing, I was nervous about wearing 7 inch shorts, as I have long thighs. But, they look the same on me as they do in the picture above.
I do not like it on road running (((

I bought two pairs of shorts, Asics Lite and Patagonia Strider. Asics seems more comfortable despite that I am prone to irritations. Honestly, I did not wear them at a distance of 25 km. But I am sure that I will be satisfied. Patagonia Strider- I did not like it for urban jogging. Especially the fact that they are going to fold at the bottom seam and create discomfort. I'll definitely will try them on trail runnung. I think, that this is their true destination )))))
Super comfortable running short

The pocket is described as "drop in". Does that mean it doesn't have a zipper?
Want to make sure before I order that a key or gel would be secure. No zippers on running pockets aren't exactly ideal for me.
These isn't a zipper, but it' s a little envelope style pocket that is designed to keep a key and/or gel secure during runs.
