Patagonia made the Women’s Stretch Element Low Bibs for steep alpine climbs and backcountry tours. Completely waterproof and breathable, the Stretch Element Pant sports stitch-free construction and an H2No membrane which reduce weight while preventing moisture from seeping in. The soft stretch-woven nylon shell gives you complete maneuverability and comfort for long days on the mountain. The low-bib design, made with a soft-shell fabric above the waist, keeps the harness-line free of bulk when you strap in, and the two-way side zips allow easy access to your boots.

Bottom Line: Take on the elements.

Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

Not easy if you are wearing a climbing harness. Arc'teryx's Gamma salopette has through-crouch zip and it is perfect for climbers.
