Description

Trusted shell pant for snow slayers of all kinds.

That line in the trees, with two feet of fresh snow and no other tracks on it, belongs to you. Thanks to the Patagonia Snowshot Pant, you can make beautiful, waist-deep turns that confirm your reason for existence without moisture creeping inside to ruin your soul's celebration. A two-layer polyester shell uses both a Deluge DWR coating and a waterproof breathable H2No membrane to keep out the snow as it billows around you.

  • Two-layer polyester shell with a Deluge DWR coating and waterproof breathable H2No membrane repel falling snow, dripping chairs, and slushy falls to keep you dry and comfortable
  • Brushed tricot lining adds some insulation in key areas, while the mesh lining in other areas enhances breathability so you can hike without sweating like crazy
  • Articulated knees and a progressive fit enable comfortable, unrestricted movement
  • Zippered inseam vents draw in cool air to bring down your temperature and expel excess body heat while you tour or ride in spring weather
  • Belt loops and elastic waist tabs secure the pant as you drop cliffs or ski bumps
  • Polyester leg gaiters with gripper elastic and DWR coating block out the snow
  • Rear loops attach to powder skirts of any compatible Patagonia snow jacket (jacket sold separately)
  • Zippered hand pockets and thigh cargo pockets hold on-mountain essentials
  • Reinforced kick patches withstand ski edges while you make kick turns in chutes or skin back up the ridge for seconds

I skied in these pants in the PNW for approximately 20 days this season and they never let me down. Wore them in dumping snow, pissing rain, and on a few bluebird days and they took it all in stride. No soaking through when wet, no sweating when it was warmer out (40-50 F), and not super heavy for being waterproof. On colder days I never felt that I needed a base layer. I'm 5'8, 160 with a 30" inseam. The mediums fit me about as well, if not better than any pant I tried (Columbia, Mtn Hardwear, OR, North Face). The crotch is a little low if you don't wear the pants at or near your navel, but I skied in them from open til close many days and never had a rip or a performance issue. The waist is adjustable and once you find your sweet spot, they're staying there. The upper legs are bigger than most pants, which is good for some, not so good for others. I have sprinters quads so these worked well for me. For reference, the Columbias were horribly tight for me in this area. I don't think they fit as well as Outdoor Research Axcess pant but for roughly half the price, the Snowshot is a killer piece of gear.

For the price these pants are awesome. Held up so far against wind, snow, and blowing snow. Would recommend base layering depending on weather. My only design gripe is that these do not have a hook on the boot gaiter to keep them in place around your boot when postholing, but the elastic band alone does a decent job.
As far as fit, I'm a 30x30 jeans and got the small. The waist is perfect but the inseam is long, probably 32-33". After some research found out Patagonia labels them with different inseams, wish Backcountry would have passed the info along.
Otherwise, bang for the buck, these are sturdy as hell and won't disappoint!

These are really nice. Very waterproof and windproof. We had knee deep powder at Snowbird this weekend and these kept me dry and warm. I'd throw a base layer underneath, but they are great.

The last two days of waist deep powder with howling Mt. Bachelor winds has tested these pants. They are completely water proof, and wind proof. No need for any base layers under the pants even in temps in the the teens. Even the 686 Plexus Plasma couldn't come close to these. Why spend 3x as much for gore when you can get these? I also have hiked in these and there is freat range of motion. Would recommend these to anyone! 6'0 210 and an XL true to size.

Is this 32 inseam??

Hey Takeshi Mito,

Thanks for the question. The inseam on the Patagonia Snowshot Pant - Men's will vary by size, the Medium is 32" and it most likely goes up to 33"at XL and 31" at small.
