The Shuttle Duffel Bag uses Patagonia's ShiftLayer nylon to increase durability and ensure it lives through the airport, cabs, porters, and burros on the way to base camp. ShiftLayer nylon consists of two layers which rub together in the middle to reduce external friction and reduce the chances of ripping or abrasions. The Shuttle Duffel Bag holds plenty of gear for a week on the road or a base camp supply run. Patagonia gave it a U-shaped top zipper for easy access and a top pocket to hold smaller items like your plane tickets. They also gave it two end handles because carrying a massive duffel gets a lot easier with help.

an essential and versatile piece to carry quite a bit of gear and travel. this bag also a handsome piece that you may carry with you into the lobby of any fancy hotel. the zippers and the "burrito" style opening, the straps all smartly designed and built to withstand decades of use. (the only reason i returned it is because i needed a larger bag to carry all my Patagonia gear--their small black hole bag was the option).
