Going Backwards...

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs large

I liked the old nylon/capilene version, but that doesn't seem to be available. When I got this heavier version, my first thought was "looks like any Land's End jacket." Bulky, heavier, but the worse shortcoming is - no draft flap behind the zipper! Very noticeable in wind. And the Synchilla in the sleeves bunches up when you pull them down over another garment. The cuffs are floppy and not impressive. I love Patagonia, but barely like this jacket.

"Office Patagonia"

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Love this thing. I can't bring it to wear it out pass the bars and i've had it for a year or so--It's warmer than my alpine guide or micro puff.

It's not snug by any means but it fits as a bomber style jacket should. You could fit a flannel, another fleece and keep this a top layer if you actually want to use this in the scary wilderness.

the page said me that i cant change a jacket that i bought, but it was too small to me, i have to return this one and buy anotherone, a different order?

I just buy another one bigger, but the question is how you return me the money that i payed for the firstone?? because i pay recently again for the new jacket...

First off, have you removed the tags or cleaned the jacket since you received it? Or did you merely purchase it, try it on and realize that it's too small?

If you removed all the tags and/or washed it, it is no longer in its original condition, so BC probably wouldn't be able to reimburse you via the original form of payment. What they may be willing to do is accept it as a return, and give you store credit in the amount that you paid when you bought the first jacket.

Hit up a BC gear rep on their chat system, and work out the kinks with one of them, or alternatively, give them a ring. Their customer service department rocks.

Hope this helps.

just got one as my really really old one is ready to die- the cuffs are super loose to he point that the cuffs really don't do anything - really disapointed- I ordered the navy blue and the picture on backcountry is misleading the zipper and inside fleece are really grey.

did I mention is does NOT have any inside pockets...

This jacket does have an inside zippered pocket; it's a vertical slash pocket with a zipper on the left side. It's hard to find but it's there.

you clearly ordered the wrong color then--you probably got tidal teal instead of classic navy
