Rubicon Down Jacket - Men's

When the sun is shining, the smoke is particularly cold, and the tracks are remarkably fresh, the Patagonia Rubicon Men's Down Jacket is the coat you should dust off and wear to the hill. Designed to crush dry and deep days, the Rubicon is Patagonia's cold-weather workhorse, with 600-fill goose down to keep the heat in and Deluge DWR and PU coatings to keep the damp out. It's outfitted with rugged polyester ripstop fabric, too, and articulated arms to make hiking a breeze. 

Technical features become key when the mercury plummets, and the Rubicon has plenty, starting with an adjustable fleece-paneled hood with a high collar, so you don't have to eat any more powder than you feel like. There's fleece at the collar, too, to protect your chin, and a removable stretch powder skirt that snaps in to all Patagonia snow pants to create a snow-proof barrier, with help from the hook-and-loop cuffs and hem drawcord. Of course, even if it's frigid you can still get hot on those steep bootpacks to the good stuff, so the Rubicon has underarm zips to help you cool down. It looks out for your piece of mind, too, with an embedded Recco reflector to help in case of an in-bounds emergency and an internal media pocket that'll keep your phone safe, no matter how rowdy the pow-slaying is.
