For crisp fall days in the valley or breezy summer alpine routes, the Patagonia Women’s Rock Guide Pant’s light, stretch-woven fabric provides just enough protection with plenty of comfort. The pant’s articulated knees and gusseted crotch let you move freely through offwidths and stemming corners, while the roll-up cuffs stay put during footwork-intensive face climbs. Patagonia also included plenty of pockets for your lip balm, tape, and topo map.

Kept the chill out!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

These pants are perfect. I usually wear a base layer underneath to keep my legs warm, and wear these on the outside. I don't feel the wind at all. I wish I had these pants in a couple different colors. I highly recommend these pants!

These are an awesome lightweight softshell, perfect for fall/spring climbing and other outdoor adventures. Flexible enough to move around, but solid enough to help keep you protected from the elements.

Like others, I feel like the waist should definitely fit tighter when you purchase. I am generally a size 0, but had to order a size 2 as there were no 0s left, and they were loose. Definitely order true to size, don't size up!!

Other than that, awesome pants- Patagonia doesn't let you down!

What is the rise on these pants? Low or just slightly below the natural waist?

Waist is very big. Rise is probably a bit below natural waist but they are by no means "low riders". I bought size 0 (5'5" 110 lbs). These pants might fit well if you are as big around the waist as the hips. I had them taken in through the back seam as much as possible. This is limited due to the back zip pockets. They are currently in the good will bin. Just not going to work. They really "give"...stretch out after a few minutes of wearing. Don't buy them unless they feel tight!
