The Patagonia Rio Grande Personal Flotation Device includes two large stretch mesh pockets to hold all the necessities for a professional rafting guide or anyone going on a big river trip. There's plenty of room for your flip line, sunscreen, snacks, neoprene gloves, and anything else you want within easy reach. With 15lb 13oz of flotation, the Patagonia Rio Grande PFD keeps you from sinking like a rock if you go for an unexpected swim, but it's not so bulky that you can't move when you're in the boat.

Yes, it allows for uninhibited shoulder movement while paddling. It also has some pretty nice pockets for all your emergency gear, in case the unthinkable is realized.

loved it. has 3 side straps on each side to help you find the perfect fit. once i found mine, i no longer noticed i was wearing the Patagonia Rio Grande PFD--maybe that's because I was getting tossed in class 5's, or maybe i was just really comfortable. the front pockets were super handy and secure for sunscreen and waterproof camera. nice one Patagonia
