Nice warm suit for those little ones. I think it is a bit on the thin side for really chilly weather, but for the shorter walks in the cold this suit is great. Will keep them comfortable even if climbing in to a chilly car or walking down the street. Runs quite a bit large. The 3 month was sized more closely to a 6 month in other brands. Compared to a Obermeyer 6 month and it was almost identical in sizing. Would recommend keeping this in mind when purchasing.

Hi Kathy, Patagonia lists their 2T sized items at 24M... they don't have anything in kids sizing as a 2T... so I think BC just labeled the sizing incorrect...
24M=2T...

What size would be best for an infant to be born the first week of July?

Candace,
Patagonia offers a 0M size that is best for newborns, but unfortunately it's out of stock right now until July or August, as it's only part of the Patagonia Fall/Winter lines.

The Patagonia products for kids are great. I picked up both a kids down sweater and the Reverse Puff Ball suit for my 9 month old daughter. I initially purchased a 12 month size in the down sweater. The fit is pretty true and she will go in to the jacket nicely. Based on that I picked up the Reverse Puff Ball in the same size, 12 months. After getting the suit and checking it out, I am convinced a three year old could fit into it. The suit is great and keeps her warm, Patagonia quality speaks for itself, just watch the size. Otherwise you might be hooking up your favorite neighborhood leprechaun up with something to keep them warm during the winter.

I had one of these already and wanted a smaller size for my new baby. I got the six month size and it was as long as a 12 mth size! My kids are small but still-too big. It's a great snowsuit though-warm but not so heavy they boil in the car or under a blanket. Excellent up to at least -20 C if baby is in a sled/stroller, -10 C if active. Love it in a small size.

So far this has been perfect - keeps my 15 month old dry and warm and I love the built in mittens. Sizing runs just about right - she is wearing size 18 months and has some room to grow.

This is functional and cute. Well worth the price. I bought this in 3 month I would say it is more 6 month size. I think most of Patagonia baby stuff runs one size larger. It still works well and we have room to layer and grow.

Since there's no feet covers, what do you do about covering your infant's feet?

The Reversible Puff-ball Bunting is designed to be worn with boots, shoes, or booties. There are 2 other fleece buntings available from Patagonia that don't have leg holes, and the legs zip together.

This bunting is perfect for long cold winters. Easy to get on and off, lightweight and collapsible loft mean ease in and out of car seat, and you can fold it easily into the diaper bag without taking up to much room. Please do not let this fool you into thinking it is not warm, trust me it is. We had to suffer through some -12 Michigan winter days and my daughter always seemed comfortable. The icing on the cake... the suit is made of recycled material, AND we always get compliments on how beautiful and unique the fabric is! This is our second Patagonia bunting and we are very happy, again.

Great Infant Winter Suit

This was the go to piece when heading outside with my son last winter. Even on the coldest days in JH we were able to bundle up and ride the bike to the rec center for swimming lessons. This suit would keep him warm with nothing more on than a swimming diaper underneath. The fit is good and roomy enough for added layers. Zippers work well for changing and the reversibility is nice when you get tired of smelling mom's breast milk while wearing the Baby Bjorn. Patagonia quality is outstanding and the attention to detail shows in this piece, as with many of their other infant/child products.
