A nature and adventure loving midlayer.
The durable Patagonia Women's R1 1/2-Zip Fleece Pullover lets you reach for the next handhold without holding you back. Since this pullover is soft, flexible, and breathable, you can feel free to wear it running, camping, hiking, and whatever else you love. There is also room for layering in case you want to take it out to the slopes. With its Polartec and Polygiene fabrication, it wicks moisture away, dries quickly, and controls odor. And since it’s so lightweight, you'll hardly notice the carabiners tucked safely inside your zip chest pocket.

Another Patagonia Favorite
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Fit: Runs large
Bought this for my wife who had the following feedback:
Once again, I am so happy with a Patagonia product. They never disappoint. This shirt is not only light and comfortable, but it's much warmer than I expected. I have worn this shirt skiing, snowshoeing, alone, under a shell, over a tank top, camping and around town. Perfect for any outing. The only complaint I have is that this is not a feminine fit, it's a pretty straight fit. I purchased the green shirt and love the color. Will continue to purchase more Patagonia product.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Small
This is the most versatile midlayer I own. I can wear it over a light shirt on cool days, but it layers well under outer layers if it is extra cold or wet. The 'Polygiene' fabric treatment works, too -- synthetic fabrics are notorious for stinking up quickly, as opposed to natural fibers like merino wool that can stay fresh for days. I wore this for an entire ice climbing weekend (on and off the ice) and it was fine!
As for style, it is a regular fit that allows for layering underneath. The Howling Turquoise color is gorgeous, but honestly I'm getting a bit sick of the limited pink , teal, and purple for ladies' outdoor clothing. Glad to see that they have some more non-traditional "feminine" colors in the 2016 lineup that weren't available when I made the purchase. Even so, I am really happy with this piece tech spec-wise and am thiiiis close to purchasing another fleece in Patagonia's R series. Probably arbor green this time :-)
