The Patagonia Men's Puffball Vest is a low-profile way heat up. Having this lightweight vest close to your core will help you to regulate your body temperature. Maintaining a high temperature around your vital organs is, well, vital. Doing so will ward off hyperthermia and keep fingers and toes toasty as well. Made to be layered, the Puffball vest is also wind-resistant for those times that you can shed your shell, but still need protection from the elements. Stuff the Puffball into its own pocket and have it ready whenever the temperatures drop.

Bottom Line: Drop the Puffball into your pack and be ready for falling temps.

Nice, lightweight vest. Patagonia quality is consistent. Thoughtfully made (zipper doesn't snag on storm flap, ergonomic zipper-pulls, etc.) My only complaint is warmth. It is a lightweight vest, provides lightweight warmth, and is great for that purpose. Usually I'm a perfect small in Patagonia stuff. Because this vest has unisex sizing, the small is slightly more snug than perfect, but I also tried the medium and it was too big.
