Comfortable base layer

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Wear it all day with other layers over it, then sleep in it all night....repeat till the trip is done. Long zipper is great for quick cooling if needed. Love it.

Great quality and good price

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

This a really good fleece for the mid season as a base layer or the winter as a mid layer. the sleeves and bottom are stretched which will protect you from the wind. The material is really nice and soft. It seems to be a different fabric from the pithon hybrid hoody. I was hesitating between the two them, however ended choosing this one for financial reason. The Hybrid is $179, this one is $100 and often on sales at $55.
This is a slim fit. If you're built and have athletic shape, you will like the tight fit.
I am 6"1' - 190lb and took the LARGE. This fits me great (see the photo).
I think a tight fit is also important to keep take full advantage of the performance (it blocks the wind better and keeps you warm and is more comfortable if worn as a mid layer under a jacket).
The stretch fabric allows for wide movements .
The only down side is that I wish it would breath a little better. If you're concerned with packable gears, this one takes a pretty good amount of space in my pack. But again, if you have to take it along with you on a trip, it will likely be on yourself rather than in the pack. Overall a great piece of clothing for the price tag !

Solid layering piece

Bought this as a lightweight fleece to wear running or to work and it's just a bit too snug for my liking. I'm 6'1", 175lbs, bought a medium and you can really only wear a t-shirt or thin baselayer under it without it bunching up. Ended up giving the jacket to a friend of mine who is about 5'10" 160lbs and it fit him great. Really liked the fabric and the weight of the jacket but just doesn't seem like this will suit what I'm looking for. Thought about re-ordering in a large but think that'd be too big so I'll look somewhere else to see if I can find something similar
Also, this is available much cheaper on other websites so make sure you shop around and price match before buying!

Good base layer.

I love this piece as a base layer. Snug fit, but soft against the skin. The chest zip is great for dumping heat out.

Works well as base layer

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great material that works well as a base layer or mid layer. Keep in mind it is a slim fit. XL a good fit with a good sleeve length for a 6' 200 lb guy.

power stretch warmth

Looking for a replacement for the old Patagonia Capilene 4? This is just an updated version of that fabric, and even a touch warmer. Super warm, and super durable. Functions well as a next to skin baselayer, or a great mid layer.
