When you paddle the Long Island Sound in November, wear a pair of pants that will keep that frigid water away from you and your drawers: the waterproof breathable Patagonia Paddling Pants. These shells have a loose fit for comfortable layering, and their ergo seat and knees and gusseted crotch keep you moving freely. Patagonia used 3-layer fabric construction, fully taped seams, and 2mm neoprene at the waist and ankles to prevent water from entering these paddling pantaloons.

The fabric is very noisy when walking and feels like being in a plastic bag. Lack of pockets reduces utility.
