Patagonia O Web Belt - 2008 BCS

O Web Belt

The Patagonia O Web Belt features a no-slip grip and a tough nylon construction that holds your pants through a hard day's work. The quick drying fabric and lightweight aluminum buckle are durable yet lightweight, and a notch in the buckle helps you open up a cold one when the work is done.

Bottom Line: A belt that opens beers, what will they think of next?

I mean, you need a belt, right?

This works perfectly, fits any size (I'm a 40 dropped to a 36 waist and, surprise, it still works), and after a day on a sailboat or hiking, it can pop tops off of beer.... or cola. Whatever your thing is.

As far as woven type belts are concerned, this is the best I've used.

I agree with Todd. This belt will fit up to about a 40" waist.

I've got a different Patagonia web belt and it is about 40", so I doubt this one would be significantly longer. Sorry.

No complaints here

This belt does take a little while to wear in to where it will lie flat, but I have no complaints on its function. The fabric seems to fray just a tad around where the buckle bites, but that is normal after use. Overall, the material seems super durable and will likely last a long time like many of my other Patagonia products. Very satisfied on my purchase and will recommend to friends looking for a functional, durable way to keep their pants up.

Jim, good question. The O Web Belt is 47" long, so once it's on I think it'd fit a 42 for sure comfortably and possibly a 44. Hope that helps man.

one setback

By:

I want to love this belt so much, but one of its greatest assets is also creates its greatest flaw. This burly belt will probably last until my unborn children or possibly grandchildren lose it.

It is the thick rigid polyester that also prevents the belt from lying flat - it literally creates a gap between the buckle + your pants. Perhaps this will change with time as it conforms to my body (at which time it will receive 5 stars), but after a few uses there has been no change + the awkward protrusion remains.

Fortunately, this lack of body confirmation doesnt seem to prevent the belt from keeping your pants up or staying tight. The buckle creates a nice "bite" that won't let go unless you want it too... even on that beer you can open with it.

Belt buckle from hell

By:

I love Patagonia, but this belt sucks. The belt buckle sticks out unusually far and aside from just being down right silly looking it is not functional.

I was worried about the buckle sticking out because of this review, but don't be. This belt is awesome!
