Great lined rain coat

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs small

I'm 5'6" and around 125 lbs and ordered it in a medium expecting it to be big on me, but it actually is kind of snug. It's also not as thick as you would expect reading the description of the coat. It was nice to wear in San Diego in January in the cold mornings and evenings when the temp was in the 50s. In NYC, it would not be thick enough in the winter, but those days when it rains and the temp is around 50, it would be fine. Very light jacket. I'm very pleased to have ordered it and gotten one on sale.

Suit me

I'm 161cm 57kg. It really suits me and show me slim and cool. It is light and comfortable.I like it very much.but in the extremely cold climate, like the -7C,I felt it is not warm enough.

The Patagonia Northwest Down Parka is a much better choice for you than the Norrona Lyngen as this jacket is intended to come down to just above the knee whether in the S or XS.

I am not sure exactly how the Patagonia Northwest Down Parka will fit on your body frame, but the center back length is 34". I hope this helps in deciding whether it will be a good fit.

Has anyone taken this closer to 0?F?

You absolutely wouldn't wanna do that. This isn't even good enough for 30F

    It's WARM

I'm also an 8/10 in most clothing brands; I took TON5080689's advice and ordered a large. Patagonia calls that 12-14. I'm close to needing the medium, but it's nice to have a little extra room for sweaters etc. Sleeves run a little long.

      Runs small

This is a lovely coat but it runs small and is a form fitting cut. So if you like some wiggle room to accomodate other outerwear then size up. I am a size 8/10 and I'm returning the large for an extra-large. Hope it works because I really like this coat and forest glen is a pretty shade of green.
