    Versatility at its finest.

When worn on its own or under a shell, the Patagonia Women's Nano Puff Insulated Vest provides lightweight, compressible, and wind-resistant insulation for your cool-weather romps. The Nano Puff Vest features PrimaLoft Gold Eco insulation, which not only boasts a partially recycled constitution, but it also retains body heat with acute thermal efficiency. And unlike down, PrimaLoft Gold Eco maintains its insulating capacity when wet, which makes this vest an ideal choice when moisture may be factor.

Now, because of its synthetic insulation and moderate warmth-to-weight ratio, Nano Puff caters to a variety of activities, ranging from cold-weather trail runs to blustery days on the skill hill. A hardy, wind-resistant ripstop exterior deters grabby tree branches on the trail, and the DWR treatment is designed to handle light drizzle. A zipper garage protects your chin from chafing, and the brick quilting pattern prevents the insulation from settling and creating cold zones on your body. An internal chest pocket doubles as a self-stuff sack so you can easy store the Puff in your tote bag or daypack, while the two zippered hand pockets keep necessities close by.

    • A lightweight, Jane-of-All-Trades vest for daily use
    • Synthetic insulation keeps you warm, even when wet
    • DWR treatment sheds light moisture
    • Rugged, ripstop exterior is wind-resistant for added protection
    • Internal chest pocket doubles as a stuff sack

    My family gift go-to!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Size Bought: XS

I've bought this vest for my husband, sister, and now my mom. And, of course, I have one too! Everyone loves them! So warm, but not bulky at all. I think they run a bit loose so I size down in them. Fantastic quality, and so cute. I'm sure this won't be my last nano puff purchase. :)

    A layering staple.

    • Size Bought: Small

I wear this vest for just about everything. Come winter, I'm cold - all the time, so a vest provides just-enough extra warmth without bogging me down. The Nano Puff is lightweight and I barely notice that I'm wearing it. I have a few other Patagonia vests, but the Nano Puff was actually my first and totally set the standard for subtle warmth and comfort.

The synthetic insulation keeps me warm—even when wet, so I'm able to wear this vest on its own in inclement weather or layer it underneath a hard shell when the conditions call for it. I do don it casually as well, mostly because the warmth is so subtle and comfortable that it's hard not to rationalize wearing it all the time. The two hand pockets keep small necessities close, and the drawcord hem allows me to seal in warmth should I need to. I purchased the black and after 3 years of solid wear and tear, it still looks brand new. Also, I have dogs, so I'm constantly being bombarded by muddy paws and dog drool, which the vest has withstood ceaselessly.

As for the fit, I picked up an Small because I wanted to have the option to layer underneath it should I desire. Typically, to achieve a more form fitting look, I wear an XS, but do wear a Small when I want more wiggle room.

Bottom line: this vest set the stage for my current love affair with vests, and I'm sure it will do the same for you!

A Little Tight on My Muscular Sister

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

I am 5’5” and have a 34” bust. I ordered a size small. I would recommend a medium due to the arm hole diameter. It feels slightly tight, but not enough to exchange it. The vest does an amazing job of regulating my body temperature, and has maintained its warmth in wet, cold outings. Unlike some other Patagonia tops I have tried, this one has a more tapered fit like an Arcteryx item.

    Love this vest!

    • Size Bought: small

I love this vest! It is super light weight but still durable. Great for stuffing in a pack when you are out backpacking or hiking but it still looks stylish if you dress it up with a scarf or boots. I have it in 2 colors now and will probably get another at some point.

    My favorite vest!

This is my go to vest for every adventure! The nano puff vest is light weight yet very warm. I love wearing the bank puff and a sweater on a spring day. It's made very well and is versatile.

    My favorite vest!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: S

I wear this vest whenever I can. It's super light, packs up tiny for travel, and has about a million uses. I wear this is a layer while skiing, hiking, running, or just about anything. It's not heavy or thick at all, it really is super thin, but stays very warm and is great at insulating heat. It's not cheap, like most of Patagonia, but you will have this vest forever, so need to ever buy another one.

    Patagonia Nano Puff Insulated Vest

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Just like any Patagonia product.. excellent craftsmanship, fits well, last forever and a bit pricey.. Anyways, these are bomb proof and probably I will hand these down to my grandchildren one day.

    Lightweight and Warm!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

    • Size Bought: Extra Small

I have a shorter torso but still loved the length of the vest. I like the inside pocket. It is super light weight, but definitely keeps you warm and is thin enough that it packs up small! Keep in mind that this is synthetic, so a down vest is going to keep you a bit warmer.. but as a midlayer it has been awesome. Only complaint is that I have noticed some of the filling seeming through the seems... not super impressed by that for a Patagonia.. Overall great vest though!

    What a great vest!

    • Size Bought: Medium

Wowza! I am in absolute love with this vest! I needed something to wear around town and at work when its a little more on the chilly side and this vest is the perfect solution.
It definitely fits true to size, I purchased a Medium so I could layer underneath with a long sleeve and a flannel. I also can easily wear a sweatshirt underneath for added warmth. Sometimes with a vest the arm holes cut a little to close to my armpits and it fits tightly around my shoulders, however Patagonia has done an amazing job constructing this vest to fit any arm/shoulder size.
I purchased the violet blue and it is not as vibrant as the picture on line makes it seem (which actually looks better) So I can pair it with more things than I thought I would be able to!

    good quality, runs tight/fitted

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: medium

The size is true to most patagonia items; sometimes they tend to run on the smaller side of the size they claim. I am a size 10 and ordered the medium, as most of my patagonia tops are a M; I would call it a snug 8 and I looked like I stuffed myself into this vest LOL. I only had a very thin shirt on unerneath it too. It was a great quality though and I loved the green! I'll probably just order it again in a large after the holidays or check out the outlet store in Montana.

After reading through the other reviews, I agree that its tight on the hips, just to zip it was a challange for me and it was also tight on my bust/shoulders (C cup)... While I LOVE patagonia, sometimes having curves means sizing up with them.

    Fits Great, Wear it everyday

I wanted a vest that I could wear all the time and this vest is perfect. It doesn't get too warm when I'm around the house, but keeps me warm while I'm outside in the yard. Color looks like picture. Overall very satisfied!!! Love it!!

    Love this vest

    • Size Bought: x-small

I love wearing this vest underneath a shell when the temperature hovers in the 30's. It's super lightweight and form-fitting. I'm usually a size small on top, but ended up getting an XS after trying it on because I wanted a vest that was more form-fitting (and cute) to wear with a long-sleeve shirt underneath. If Iwanted to layer underneath with more, I would have gotten the small. I plan on using this in the spring and fall when hiking/going around town. I'm 5'5, 125ish, athletic build, 32D.

    Impressed with the quality!

Just got this vest about a week ago and I've hardly taken it off! It is super duper light weight yet still adds extra needed warmth. It makes a great extra layer underneath my ski suit and winter coat without adding any bulk. Can't forget that it is also very stylish looking! I went with a size small and it was a little loose fitting but I decided to keep it because it fits perfectly over a flannel or midweight sweater without being too tight and the drawcord at the bottom can be tightened as needed. I also really like that it has a higher neck so when it is zipped all the way up no cold air can blow down your neck! Random final note - it shows a picture of the vest folded up into the stuff sack/pack with a carabiner but the carabiner is not included just FYI in case anyone thought it was part of the deal! :)

went skiing for the first time in Utah... and I was worried it wasn't going to keep my core warm.. it did the job! Plus, I love how it was fitted, light weight and very stylish. Plan on bring it on my trip to Patagonia in a month! I'm 34 D and I'm a small.
