    In Love

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small

I've been thinking about purchasing this jacket for quite some time and the wait was totally worth it! As soon as I put this jacket on, I instantly started to feel warm. It is very light and easy to stuff into my work/gym bag/ purse. I never leave my house with out it. I can't wait to take on my next Colorado adventure! I have a friend that said this jacket is the best outdoor purchase I could buy and I completely agree!!!

    Super light!

Patagonia pulls it off again! I use this jacket as an outer layer on cool days and as a mid layer on the cold days up in the mountains and around town! It is perfect for backpacking because it is super light weight and can stuff into any small space in my pack! The hood is a great design because it fits snug around my head and never slips off! This is a very cute jacket and I wish I had one in another color too!

    best jacket ever

have had the hoodless jacket for 2 years and climbed more rock than I can remember in it. a little dirty, but washes up great and minimal damage to wrists and sleeves. Hands down the best piece of kit I own. bought the hooded version for my wife and she loves the fit. like wearing a light weight sleeping bag all the time.

    Freakin Fast Delivery!!!!

    • Size Bought: Large

The jacket came the very next day!!! Omg, I ordered them late in the afternoon the next day at 11am it was on my door step, thank you BackCountry!!! The jacket is very lightweight. I haven't used for it's purpose yet, but it is patagonia, I have bought from this company before and all of their product never disappoint me yet:) I am 5'2, 150lbs. I ordered Large in black and so far in fits good .

    perfect midlayer

I LOVE this jacket. It is super light weight but still provides tons of warmth. It acts as a great mid layer on a cold winter day and is also a great shoulder season everyday jacket for a walk or a hike during those crisp fall evenings.

cold beach days are awesome in this!

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
      • Fit: True to size

I bought this as a birthday present for my sister and she loves it! She lives in California and the beach can get pretty cold at night so she got this jacket and she loves it! perfect for the beach at night!

      100% Worth the Price

I purchased this jacket to use as my new go-to winter coat, but also to wear hiking and backpacking. The first weekend I owned it, I wore it out hiking - at 2,500 feet, 30 degrees and WINDY (not to mention knee-deep in snow), this jacket performed perfectly. I barely felt the wind and with a baselayer and t-shirt underneath, I was completely warm. It's extremely lightweight and very packable which was one of the reasons I bought it, and I couldn't be happier with the performance. I haven't worn it camping at cold temperatures yet, but with some layers, I have no doubt it'll keep me warm.

At first I balked a bit at the price tag, but I'm so happy I pulled the trigger. When this one eventually wears out, I'll be buying another one (note to Patagonia - please don't stop making these!).

For reference, I'm 5'5, 128 lbs and average build and the small fits perfectly with room to layer a sweater/vest underneath.

      Amazing Insulated Layer

I purchased this jacket for my cousin for Christmas. She absolutely loved it and had some things to share. She told me that this is her all around daily jacket during the winter. She can just grab it and go. It is light and packable yet keeps you extremely warm down to about 25 degrees Fahrenheit obviously depending on who you are. She says when she goes snowboarding she chooses to use this as a layer underneath her shell and it works great for adding that little bit extra warmth. Great choice for any outdoorsy girl.

      Not-so-Nano on the warmth

      • Size Bought: Extra-Large

I got this as a gift for my mom and she loves it. This jacket keeps her very warm when she takes our dog out in the snow and cold; and the hood fits great over her hair. This will definitely be her winter jacket for years to come. She really likes the slim look of it and the fit is spot on.

      finally!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: True to size

Finally ponied up for a Nano Puff when they were on sale through Backcountry (thanks for the huge discount!). So far I love it. It's warmer than other light insulating layers I've worn (I've walked the dog in it at 20F and been fine). Fits perfectly... more relaxed than a lot of women's fits. Even on sale it was a bit spendy, but I'm stoked! Can't wait to drag it up and down mountains all over the Wasatch!

      Great jacket, fit somewhat odd

I'm always cold, and I'm always skeptical that anything this thin can keep me adequately warm. But once again, Patagonia delivers. It takes a minute for the jacket to trap your body heat, but once it does, you feel nice and cozy. It also offers relatively good wind protection. I have the world's narrowest shoulders, so you can imagine my surprise that the XS I initially purchased was too tight across the back! Hips, too. (I'm 5'7", 123# and typically wear XS in Patagonia jackets and sweaters.) I returned it for a small, which fits well enough, but it definitely is not designed for anyone with even modest curves. Love the cheery blue color.

        Perfect Patagonia

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love this jacket. I have struggled with Patagonia in the past because I'm tall, have a long torso and arms, and have found their tops to be too short for both. But the new nanor jackets delivered! I am 5'9, and a medium was perfect for me. It has a little room because I'm pretty active in it and didn't want any restriction in motion. I wear this jacket as a skiing layer, running, or to work.

Thanks this is helpful! I am also 5'9" and as much as i like the look of patagonia i never end up buying any of their shirts or jackets because of the long arm / torso issue. Their women's clothes are just too short, and they don't make a tall/long option for anything! glad to know you experienced the same issue but not with this jacket!

        Great jacket worth every penny

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: Medium

For such a thin, almost weightless, jacket this is really warm. It also does a good job at keeping the wind out. I've only had it for a couple of months and really like it. A lot. It fits me like a glove. I'm 5'5" tall and weigh 125 and I ordered a medium. I tend to like my clothes more on the baggy side rather than tight fitting so this may fit loosely for anyone looking for a more form fitted look. The sleeves are a perfect length and the cuffs are just tight enough. It appears to be made of quality materials and constructed to last. I hope to have this jacket for a very long time.

        Great jacket, bad model

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: XS

I'm 5'3 and 120 lbs (muscular), and I ordered this in a XS which was perfect. It was comfortable and I could layer a pea coat over it with ease. This jacket kept me warm in mild snow conditions and blocked winds awesomely. I really dug this jacket, except for the fact that as soon as I received it, the seams began to fray and continued to do so. I kept it throughout the winter and the fraying did not seem to affect the performance of the jacket. I recently sent the jacket to patagonia to be fixed/returned and I got a full refund back. I think the 2014 model just had some defects, because I read a handful of other reviews with the same issues. I'd still highly recommend this jacket, and hopefully the next year's model fixes the issues that were present with this one!

        Stoked on it!

        • Size Bought: Small

I'm a petite lady, 5'1" 115lbs and ordered a small. I had tried on an extra small a few months back but it was tight in the chest area (full D) so I got the small. It fits almost perfectly. The arm length is a little long but not so long that it's not functional. I will be able to layer it and wear a thicker long sleeve under it if need be.I'm very pleased with my purchase. I can't wait to wear it!

        Versatile, great fit

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: xs

Love the fit of this jacket- I wear it all the time. Recently spent 12 days on a glacier in the Alaska Range, and this was my go-to jacket for active days. Light enough to breath while moving, but perfect to keep me warm in the snow over a couple of good base layers.

        Couldn't move

        • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
        • Fit: Runs small
        • Size Bought: Small

Seems like this would be a great jacket. Perfect length on body and arms. Did not run big in the body as others had implied. I couldn't get the jacket across my shoulders. It was so tight under the armpits. I feared I was going to rip it across the back like the Hulk. I'm sad because I thought I finally found the perfect coat. I don't think a medium will help because it will be huge all over then. I think that if you have an athletic frame you may have difficulty being comfortable in this product.

        Almost perfect!

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: Medium

The Fit: I ordered both the small and the medium in this jacket. I'm 5'9" and 145 lbs, carrying much of my weight in my lower half. The small fit me perfectly - very flattering and fitted, but I wouldn't have been able to layer much underneath. I kept the medium as this is a lightweight jacket that works well in a layering system. I agree with other reviewers that the body fits a little loose while the bottom of the jacket is a bit tighter. The sleeves are long enough (yay!) for my longer arms but they do seem a bit wider than I had anticipated. Maybe Patagonia will some day come out with a slim fit version as others have suggested.

Warmth: This jacket has kept me pretty warm so far in northern CA, Lake Tahoe, Reno, and now in Colorado but I would say that on cold, cold days you will definitely need a good layering system in place or a heavier down jacket if you aren't interested in that. :) It has held up nicely even on windy days.

Overall, I would recommend this jacket to a friend! I ordered the black and I think it looks great with everything. Happy trails. :)
