    A little tight

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: medium

I liked the style of the dress. I straddle the medium to large size. Having other Patagonia dressed that fit well in a medium, I ordered the medium. It was just too snug for my comfort. I gave the dress to my niece.

Seaflower / Shock Pink is more orange.

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: True to size

I have this dress in black and I really like it for casual wear and travel. Many others have commented on fit, support, etc, so I will just say that the seaflower / shock pink is more salmon / orange color than expected. I expected it to be red. Salmon does not work for my skin tone, so I sent it back.

    The most glorious dress.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love the new version of the Morning Glory Dress! First of all, the fabric is buttery soft, forgiving, and stretchy - which is great for someone like me who prefers a dress that's versatile and mobility-oriented. I also love that the fabric doesn't hug your lady lumps in an unsavory manner and create weird shadows like some of the other soft / athletic fabrics out there.

For me, I'd say the fit is pretty true to size and a little bit slightly generous for my body type. I purchased an XS in the Morning Glory Dress and found it's a little loose in certain areas. I'm 5'3" and 110 pounds and an XS in Patagonia items across the board (though I do purchase a small when I'm looking for more room). There is a built-in bra, but it's pretty thin and despite being small chested, I still wear a bra (Ibex Merino Wool Balance Bralette to be precise). The length is perfect - it falls just above the knee which is ideal for a shorty like me. I do agree with the reviewer Rebecca: the top could use a little more coverage. It's a little low for my taste, but that's me. The twist-back straps don't dig into my back and lay flat / comfortably against my shoulders.

I have two older versions of this dress (the ones with the cute tie-back detail and tie-less halter) and was initially pretty bummed when Patagonia changed the design, but I'm really happy that I gave the new Morning Glory a chance because it's suuuuuuuper cute and bound to become a summer staple for me!

Great dress, top coverage could be bette

I really like the. Cut and style of this dress. It's perfect for day wear but could also be dressed up if you wanted a sporty evening look. It hits just above the knee and the back twist is very cute. I found that the top, across the chest could use more material as the inner shelf bra is not super supportive nor does it cover the nips well if you go bra less. I found a black sports bra that layers well underneath, but it's not ideal. Keeping the dress because of the other positives. I ordered a medium in black.

      Great "Town Dress"!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: True to size

I bought this dress specifically as a travel dress to wear in towns while thru hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. A town dress needs to be light weight--easy to wear and gets bonous points if the material is sporty enough that you could wear it hiking if need be (Wiking, Quick Dry, Sun Protection etc). This dress is fantastic for these purposes. I'm 5'5, 135 pounds and I find the small is a perfect fit and flattering for the athletic figure. If I lost 5-10 pounds I would probably want the XS. I'm a C cup, and would prefer a little more support for the bust--so I wear my patagonia barely there bra and I find it fits well under the dress and blends with the back detail (black dress, black bra). The material is similar to bathing suit material----it packs up small and will be perfect to throw in my pack when I'm hiking up mountains.

      Vibrant, Flattering, and Easy

My husband bought me this dress for an upcoming trip and it will be a perfect travel dress and a go-to dress for running around town. The material is vibrant and lightweight. The dress has a great cut - form fitting on top which accentuates my athletic build. I am small chested so have not noticed the nipple issue that some other reviewers have mentioned - it's better than many workout tanks I wear in this regard. I am 5'7, 130 pounds and the small fits perfectly. I will get a lot of wear out of this dress.

      Comfortable and flattering

Bought this for my wife who owns a million sun dresses and she offered the following feedback:
Love this dress. Love Patagonia not only for the way their clothing fits and flatters, but for the quality and vibrant colors. This is by far one of the most comfortable sun dresses I own. I wore this dress camping, to soccer games, football games, out on errands, on walks, and even to work. I wore it every chance I got and each time I wore it, I was complimented. I agree with the nipple issue as others spoke about, but when I wore this dress to work I would throw a light sweater over it and that would resolve the nipple issue. I am 5'5" 135 lbs with an athletic build and I purchased the medium. It fits nice. I would have liked it to be a bit more form fitting, but it still looks good. I purchased the red dress and love the color. Again, you can't go wrong with Patagonia, it just looks good and lasts forever.

      I love it!

This is the perfect paddling dress. The material is pretty thin which lends itself well to drying quickly and being super wicking, but it also means that it is pretty hard to hide panties.

      Wanted to love this, but...

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: Runs small

Yes to the nipple issue as Edgar G stated, and also to VPL (visible panty lines). I have other Patagonia dresses that I love, one in fact that is this exact same cut/style but in a print. The fabric in the other dresses is much more flattering and forgiving. This fabric seems thin and therefore, unflattering in terms of undergarments. And sorry, map5594478, but pads don't work with this dress. Worn under the shelf liner they slip downward. Worn between the dress and your breast, the dress slips down making the pads visible. Bummer. I really wanted to love this dress. (I actually have it on today at work--with a strapless bra and Spanx--the exact things you shouldn't have to wear with a Patagonia dress.)

      Nipples!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Small

I like the style of this dress. The back design is cute. The length is nice. But there is one huge problem... The built in bra does not do its job. The material is so thin than my nips show completely (and not just when I'm cold). I bought this in black thinking I wouldn't have to wear a bra underneath, but the material makes it easy to see everything. And with the back strap design, a bra wouldn't really work under this dress anyway. Who wants to wear a strapless bra hiking or travelling? I really want to like this dress, but I am unsure if I can wear it out comfortably. Bummer!
Also, I probably should have bought a size up, but it works alright.

Cute style and pattern, weird material

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: True to size

I wanted to love this dress, but I am not a fan of the material. This is very much a personal preference. The polyester/spandex blend can appear shiny, feels somewhat plasticky to the touch, and full disclosure - doesn't provide the nip coverage needed when going bra-less. I much prefer the Patagonia Spright dress - the cotton is wayyyy more comfortable, esp when sweaty, and hides the girls just great. I'm 5'8, 145, small-chested, and the medium in both dresses fits fine.

      Pretty in Patagonia

I purchased this dress in blue as a gift for my best friend, Amy, and I don't think she's taken it off since. I love the pattern - she says it's ultra comfortable, fits well, and is great for hand stands.

      Pretty in Patagonia
