    Perfect Packable Jacket

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I have used this jacket on various rivers where it's been anything from a light sprinkle to a steady rain. It's kept me dry every single time. It's a great little jacket, that I pack in my Patagonia sling pack. It doesn't take up that much room, and doesn't add too much bulk or weight to my sling pack. The pockets are perfect to go the minimalist route and throw some boxes in them.

I have a few friends that dislike the length, but I've found it to be perfect with waders. My only dislike about the jacket is the lack of an attachment point for a net. While I have a pack, it's not an issue, but sometimes it's nice to leave it all behind and go lightweight.

    Name says it all

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: medium

great light weight jacket. Packs good and the cuffs seal pretty good for fishing. Warm but also cooler jacket for warm rainy morning. My only problem with this jacket is its kinda short. But it's not really a problem if you are wearin waders. And looks good with the matching patagonia waders also.

    No Net, no business.

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

Well, I was pretty excited to finally purchase a quality patagonia product, and I will speak no evil of the jackets construction. It's pretty much everything you could ask for except for one crucial item: the net eyelet on the back of the neck. It's just not there. Apparently that wasn't minimalistic enough for Patagonia. No eyelet, no sale. I'm in love with everything else about this jacket, but for 160-200 bucks, I need to get what suits me.

    Great jacket

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I have wore it several times. Both on cold (30's) and warmer days (50's). I love that it's a thinner jacket because I can layer up and take it off when I need to. It is more of a water proof wind breaker.

I usually wear thermals, a shirt and a thick or thin fleece sweater ( depending on the weather) and it works great and it also breaths well.

I am 5'9" and 170lbs. and the medium fits me well. Even when I have a thick fleece or a micro down jacket under it.

Nice, Did not fit, Good Service

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small

I really liked the jacket. It was as it name, minimalist. It this is what you like you will be happy. I am tall and relatively narrow. XL was too short in the sleeves. I think it is just a product that runs on the small side. I have found that some Patagonia products run longer than others. I would recommend it as a product.

On the Back Country service side: The purchasing and return service process was very simple and straightforward. They get 5 stars too.
