On mild days, you can wear the Patagonia Merino 3 Midweight Glove Liners alone, and when the weather turns nasty, slide these liners inside a mitten or glove and keep your hands extra-toasty. Merino wool is naturally itch-free, helps to wick sweaty moisture away from your hands so they won't feel clammy, and has a smooth texture. Weighing in at just under 1.5oz, it would be silly not to toss a pair of these in your backpack or skiing daypack.

Works well

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

They are a nice liner. As thin as the poly liners, but warmer. When I have to slide my thick gloves off to adjust straps, open my fly, etc, the liners have helped keep my hands relatively warm. I would recommend them over poly liners any day. I like the longer length up the wrist as well. Tucked under the sleeve it helps offset a shorter ski glove.

Toasty, thin, and work on touch screens

These gloves are awesome. Warm with a great texture. Thin so they fit in your gloves. For added bonus they work on my android screen. They are not flawless on touch screens but they at least help you do big tasks.

Shockingly Thin, Unbelievably Warm

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These are a great choice. They have all of the benefits of wool, a snug tailored fit, and they have a lifetime warranty (how many liners come with a lifetime warranty?!). They fit equally well inside gloves and mittens, and have a long cuff perfect for pairing with gauntlet style gloves.

They are super thin and lightweight, but still very warm. They stuff easily into a pocket or pack. I like to keep them on me whenever I head into the mountains... just in case it gets really cold. Size chart is accurate, fit is perfect. Would give these 5 stars, but the seams at the fingertips are a little bunchy and awkward. However, this is not a deal breaker by any means, I am still very happy with them.

Great gloves if dexterity is a need

I purchased these gloves for cycling to work and back in 20°F-50°F weather. They serve this purpose very well. They provide the needed dexterity for shifting, operating zippers, etc. They surface texture also aides in gripping the handlebars which is an unexpected benefit. I imagine they would do well as a liner glove, but have not used them for that purpose.

You sacrifice a little warmth and a lot of wind resistance with these gloves, but they are perfect for short time periods out in cool temps. They also want to slide down unless fully pulled up over the wrist. To me, this is a small sacrifice.
