This beanie is strange. I have a very large head, but this beanie seems excessively small for even people with normal-sized heads. Its extremely thin and light but still does a good job keeping my noggin warm, at least, the parts it can cover. The beanie does not come down to cover the ears. On my head it only covers maybe the top 1/4 of my ears. The pictures of the different colors on backcountry.com were strange too. If you compare the green and black colors to the blue color, the pictures make it look like the green and black beanies *would* go down to cover the ears (or at least, they look much 'taller'). They look almost an inch or more deeper in the pictures. Don't be mistaken though, all the colors are the same size and the size of the blue beanie picture is definitely more representative of the actually size. If I had a smaller head I'd keep it, but this is not made for large heads.
