Skin to your favorite powder stash or tackle an elusive couloir in Earth-friendly merino warmth. The Patagonia Men’s Merino 3 Classic Zip-Neck and its natural wicking powers ensure you stay dry on the approach. 100% chlorine-free merino construction gives you the ability to recycle this baselayer if you ever manage to tear it to shreds after years of abuse. While the merino super powers are ideal for snow-sports, there’s nothing stopping you from layering with this Patagonia top when you attack a cold-weather hike, climb, or summit attempt.

Bottom Line: Wool doesn’t suck.

Like butter (w/ a zipper)

The Merino 3 weight is perfect for a fall day alone or dressed under your fleece and shell for skiing. I have 5 Patagonia wool shirts now and am replacing all of my poly junk with the wonders of renewable, itch-free, odor-less (literally less odor not free of odor), baselayers. They are much warmer than any poly I've used in the past. Zipper is a good length for dumping heat when you just get over heated. I've tried other wool, but Patagonia's is the softest and scratchless-est I've found. Will buy more.
