Fall sending temps have arrived, which means it’s time to pull on the Patagonia Men’s Merino 2 Zip-Neck Top and get after that multi-pitch project that you and you buddy have been eyeing all summer. The moisture-wicking, odor-fighting combination of soft, stretchy merino wool and quick-drying recycled polyester provide total versatility whether you wear it alone or under a puffy at the belay. The deep front zip lets you dump heat after slaying the crux pitch, and the shirt is recyclable through the Common Threads program.

Bottom Line: So versatile it should have a late-night infomercial.

Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

Wool all the way

So much better than any poly shirt I've ever owned; all my Capilene is being slowly replaced by these. I have two of these now and wear them casually and skiing, hiking, camping, and paddling. Do yourself a favor and invest in these as a warmer and more renewable solution for your baselayer. Unlike other brands, these are itch-free and soft as cotton.

A thin wool layer that gets the job done. I own a few different Patagonia layers, and this is by far my favorite piece out of the group.
