  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Here's the thing: I sweat. I'm not one of those girls who glistens and glows and looks perfectly fresh after a day full of action packed adventure. Nope. I sweat like a man. So this top and I have become pretty close lately--it's been my second skin--and guess what? No stink.

I put it to the ultimate test on a 3 day camping trip when I wore it almost the entire time...and it did not disappoint.

Day 1: we got up in the wee hours of the morning and started our hike across the chilly desert. Things started to heat up so I peeled it off and rolled it up in my pack (it rolls up tiny!) As soon as the sun started to drop that evening, I pulled it out and felt it's warmth, and let it hold me tight all night long.

Day 2: Another chilly morning , and an afternoon mountain bike ride. We were in and out of the shade at a pretty high elevation so I kept it on--the sleeves push up nicely and it zips down for the long climbs that heat things up. Things got a bit sweaty but I kept it on--this top is super thin and when I'm sweaty keeps me from feeling soaked and sticky. And then I slept in it....again.

Day 3: a sunny morning stroll out for some climbing, my Merino zip-neck still going strong. It moves WITH my body--like a second skin, and even after wearing it day after day, sweating in it, sleeping in it... it doesn't get uncomfortable....and it doesn't get stinky! This sweaty lady approves.

And let's not forget winter--it's a favorite baselayer for a full day out in the snow. It feels good against my skin and keeps the warmth in, and the moisture out.

I've worn this for about a year now, and it still looks new. When I DO wash it (honestly not that often) I wash it in cold and let it air dry.

5'4", 112 lbs, XS fits perfect.
