Designed for everything from ski touring to trail running, the Patagonia Men’s Merino 2 Crew fights odors, wicks moisture, and dries in a snap thanks to a functional blend of merino wool and recycled polyester. Offset seams ensure there’s no chafing under pack straps, and the shirt is recyclable through the Common Threads program.

Bottom Line: A midweight merino baselayer for any and all of your outdoor passions.

Natural is always better

I finally got one of the zip version of this weight about a year ago and I am now in the process of switching all my Capilene to wool. I have never felt wool to be so comfortable and scratch-free. I have one of these Merino 2 crews and plan to get a couple more. Make the switch to something natural and renewable and feel warmer, less stinky, and better about yourself.

lightweight and warm

This is a great lighterweigth wool base layer piece. I'll wear a 100% wool piece for the coldest of days, but if I'm going to be hiking a lot or if the temps are a little warmer in the spring this is my base layer of choice. Great durability and no odor - ever.

My favorite shirt. Fits amazing, works great for cold temps up to the 60s. No odor

Merino is supreme

I just started wearing this again for the cool season. This shirt can hold back a lot of BO and has the ability to keep you suprisingly warm for how well it breaths and how thin it is. Only downside is it is so thin that it tends to pill on the back if you have a jacket over it with a backpack. Haven't noticed this to be much of a problem however since I got the black and you can hardly see it
