So Comfortable!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Height: 5' 10"
    Weight: 165 lbs
    Size Purchased: medium

I bought this jacket for my dad who is 5'10" 165lb and got him a medium. I will say this jacket runs very large so if you are going to get it make sure your size down accordingly. Other than the size issue this jacket is so incredibly warm and comfortable! I tried the jacket on when I first got it and seriously contemplated keeping it for myself. i will definitely be ordering another one of these for myself in the near future.

Excellent fleece

Really soft, incredibly warm. Fits big though. I'm 5'7" and 215 and a medium fits me right.

favorite

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Height: 6' 1"
    Weight: 185 lbs

I wear this thing all the time...it's almost ridiculous. It breathes relatively well and is the most comfortable piece of clothing in my closet. The fit is loose, but that's the intention. I bought a large and it fits great...still a bit loose, but doesn't bother me a bit.

6' 1.5" 180 lbs

  • Height: 6' 2"
    Weight: 180 lbs
    Size Purchased: M

I wish people would put their height and weight on their reviews.

anyway, I'm 6' 1.5" and I weight about 180 lbs. A medium fits me fine. If I was wearing it to a fancy dinner party I would probably prefer a medium. However, I kind of wish I had ordered a large. I like my clothes to fit a little baggy. I.e. if I wear a hoodie I want it to be size XL so that it fits my body loosly.

If you are my size, and you don't mind or prefer your clothing to be baggy, then order a large. A medium will fit you proper, but a large would fit the way I prefer a pullover to fit.

Runs large

  • Height: 6' 0"
    Weight: 150 lbs
    Size Purchased: small

I picked up the blue plaid fleece since it was on sale and so far I really like it a lot. I am 6 ft 150 lbs and a small is still even a little baggy. I think the design of this piece is to ensure that when you raise your arms above your head the shirt does not rise up. Would recommend if you can find it on sale.

Not For Me

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large

Patagonia literally means "land of giants" and this fleece is made for exactly that...giants. I am 5'11" and had to return a medium because the shoulders were comically big. I wear a medium in basically everything and have two large Patagonia jackets that fit me quite well. Sizing is interesting here.

Hello, I'm curious as to whether or not you purchased a smaller size and that if so, if you now like it, and what rating you would now give it. For me, this is a great product I wear probably 15% of the year. The sizing in this piece is definitely 'interesting' in that it runs large; this is one of Patagonia's "Regular Fit" pieces, though I think it should be in their "Relaxed Fit" category. The women's version, I think, runs about one to one and a half sizes too large. My boyfriend, who runs at a medium, tried on an XS and it was a bit too snug; the small would have fit him perfectly.

Hi,are all the lightweight snap T fleece on sale or just the ones that have an On Sale sign under it?

Retro with style

  • Fit: True to size

Im 6'5 Tall and Slender, and the Large works alright for a tighter fit. But if your my size or bigger for sure go up to the XL.
love this thing for those cold windy days, put it under my shell.

love the color too.

Comfort at its finest

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Love the old school style of the synchilla finally picked one up for myself. Super soft, quality fleece, thick enough to seem durable but not overdone. I could wear this daily.

Fit is a bit different than most patagonia I have come across. I am 5'8 and 135lbs and conventional wisdom would tell me to rock a small in patagonia. A friend advised a medium and he was right. The small was a bit narrow in the shoulder (i have wider shoulders). I tried them both and went for a comfortable fit. The arms are slightly long for me but the shoulders for the small just didnt feel right.

I am looking to buy this for a friend of mine who is 150 lbs and 6'0''. What size should i buy?

Meg,
medium should probably do the trick.

So frickin comfy

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Height: 6' 0"
    Weight: 170 lbs
    Size Purchased: Medium

This fleece is ridonkulously soft and comfy. It's like being wrapped in clouds made of cotton candy. *Soft* cotton candy. Not that granular stuff that hurts your tongue after a day of eating it.

There are only two things I don't like about the fleece, but I can't really fault Patagonia for them. The first is that because this is a lightweight fleece, wind just rips right through it. That's not a problem when you're lounging in a bar or hanging out by the campfire, but if it's blustery out then you're gonna freeze. This then leads to the second problem; because it is a relaxed, loose, fit layering can be hard. It's easy to fit clothing on under it (not sure why you would) but wearing a jacket over it can be very uncomfortable. The fleece gets all bunched up under my arms and I feel like a penguin. An awkward penguin.

Even with these two issues, I still wear mine all the time. If you're on the fence about it, I say go for it. It's a timeless piece that will always look cool.

Great Fleece, runs large

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

This fleece is extremely comfortable and not too clunky. It fits snuggly around the waists and wrists. It does run quite large though, which is why I had to return it. If the small was in, definitely would have gone for that instead. Great fleece though!

Love this piece

I seriously love this fleece. It is perfect for camping, hanging around the house, or town. Keeps you nice and toasty. Super soft and comfortable.
