Your little guy's first winter suit.

A hand-knit bunting sure is nice, but the Patagonia Hi-Loft Infant Boys' Down Sweater Bunting takes warmth, comfort, and simplicity to the next level. The 20D polyester fabric is finished with a water-resistant DWR coating and filled with fully traceable 600-fill duck down to keep your munchkin warm and dry, while the fleece-lined hood and fold-over hand and foot covers prevent his little fingers and toes from getting chilly. Best of all the, this bunting has dual front zippers that make getting it on and off a piece of cake, so diaper time is no big deal.

    • 20D polyester mini-ripstop shell and polyester lining with dual DWR coatings
    • 600-fill fully traceable duck down
    • Three-panel fleece-lined hood
    • Two full-length zippers with internal wind flaps
    • Spandex binding at hood sleeve, cuff, and foot
    • Fold-over hand and foot covers
    • Item #PAT00JX

    Best Baby Gift

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

I buy one of these for all of my friends and family when they have a new baby. I love the puffiness of this little bunting, and it does a great job of keeping the little ones nice and warm, especially in the chilly mountain winters. The zippers make it easy for quick exits or changes. While the DWR coating is probably meant for staying dry during weather, it performs double duty to prevent major spills or accidents from soaking in to the suit. I picked up the grey this time for my new little nephew, and the colors are exactly as described.

    Super warm but runs big

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large

I picked this up for my daughter to help her make it through her first winter in Park City and it's been a great option for her on cold days. The two zippers on the chest make it really easy to get her in and out, and it's really nice having covers for her hands and feet. The insulation has been plenty for her so far - she tends to run on the warmer side of things, so we put her in this with just a fleece onesie (or two) underneath and she does well. We tend to have her in an Ergo Baby carrier when she's wearing this, so she also gets some insulation from the carrier and warmth from whoever is carrying her.

My only complaint about this is the sizing. We have a 0 month size and our daughter is just over a month old now. She is starting to fill in the chest/body a little bit, but the arms and legs are really long on her. She's a relatively long baby as it is and I'm pretty sure that she will grow out of the chest and still have at least an inch or two on the arms and legs.

    Beef'd up snuggy

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs large

We bought this bunting for our 15 month old son to enjoy the Utah winter inside. First time worked like a charm, he's a bit of a marshmallow but it does the job of keeping him warm and dry. It does run a little large, but we don't care - he will have something to grow into and potentially use next year. We simply rolled the sleeves. The dual zippers make it easy to get him in/out of, and the hand covers come in real handy to keep those little tootsies from freezing. Over all, this is probably the cutest and funniest thing we'eve ever bought him. We love it.

    Damn, it's cold out here...

We got this down suit with the intent of playing in the snow this year, not sure what happened to the snow this year, but SLC was fairly dry. That said, plenty of cold mornings heading into daycare and this suit delivered. It was easy to get in/out, just unzip and slip him right in, great built in hand and foot covers and a soft/fleecy hood/chest. Our son likes to sip coffee on his way into school, so the DWR worked well with the morning joe. Light ski tours in the pack were easy as the suit seemed to keep him really warm and comfortable without being overly puffy. This bunting seemed to work really well on really cold days and just brisk winter afternoons tooling around in the stroller (due to the deep chest zippers). Several friends have already asked for the hand me down and hoping we get one more shot at playing in the snow in 2015/16!

    Damn, it's cold out here...

Why in the world do they not make these for adults??
