Patagonia Gi II Shorts - Men's - 2008 BCS

These shorts are awesome! Light and the fit is spot on. I am 5'9" 150lbs and the med fits perfect. I am going to take them out on their first hike this weekend but I expect good things.

The Supplex nylon material is very light. So much so that while riding my bike the air currents can ride them up your legs. But this light material is what makes them such hot weather quick drying champs. The pockets even have mesh bottoms on the inner wall so that anything wet will dry out more quickly. The back pocket zips to keep your wallet in place, the hand pockets are deep enough. The only slight negative is the pocket at thigh level on the right leg. I'm not exactly sure what the bungee loop is intended for, but the velcro closing doesn't completely close it off and the location that far down your leg means any weight in that pocket slaps against your leg as you move. Otherwise perfect summer kickers and hiking shorts.

Outstanding gear. Light, durable, comfortable. Currently hiking the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin. Perfect short for summer hiking. Grand Canyon next year.

These shorts have been to hell and back. This past summer I wore these shorts almost exclusively and they held up really well. They dry incredibly quickly, have ample pocket space, and they look pretty good too. I would strongly recommend these shorts to anyone.
