I am a waitress and need shoes that Won't slide around on the kitchen floor, Danskos are too heavy and Birks are too stiff, how do you think that these soles would hold up?

The Poppy has a latex outsole that is very sticky on slick surfaces; I think you will find that it works great for your application.

Yet another Patagonia product I love! I ordered size 7 because that's my normal Patagonia size, however, they felt a bit too big for me. I like my shoes fitted & rarely wear socks, so I sent back for a 6.5, which was a bit snug at first but now that they're broken in, they fit me like a glove. Very comfy & cute. Beware that the colors appear MUCH brighter on the internet than they really are. The red is really a dark color, burgundy/wine like. I wanted red shoes & these were too dark for me. The color I exchanged for was the "mud" color, also much darker in real life. You can dress these shoes up or down. The sole is great & quite grippy. Would make a great shoe for people who work on their feet a lot.

Do these poppy shoes fit big or small? I typically wear an 8 in Merrells (for example) but an 8.5 in most shoes. Should I get an 8 or 8.5?
